Assadi Consulting inc celebrate as champs for second straight season
The Assadi consulting inc and the Club Ecole Orient played an extremely hard fought final that ended in a slight favour for the Assadi Consulting inc. With M.Gagnon and N.Glbert kicking things off for the Assadi Consulting inc, the Club Ecole Orient felt the immediate pressure to get back into the game quickly. And to their credit, L-M Alayo responded right away to keep the game in check. Eventually both sides found themselves deadlocked at thee goals apiece until J.Courteau put the Assadi Consulting inc back in front. Despite having that narrow lead, the Assadi Consulting inc were stuck hanging on for dear life. The Club Ecole Orient pulled out their goaler for the extra attacker and threw everything but the kitchen sink toward the net only to keeping hitting a wall. Game two took a different turn however, this time with the Club Ecole Orient jumping out in front on three consecutive goals. Only four minutes and change had gone by for the rude awakening that the Assadi Consulting inc had to endure. As bad of a start it was, there was too much time left over for a highly skilled team to respond. The mind set was simple, play it one shift at a time and search for the net goal. J.Courteau broke the ice moments later and the snow ball effect was in motion. The Assadi Consulting inc knew they had it in them to mount a much needed comeback. In the span of only two minutes, M.DelGaudio and J.Courteau helped even the score, and all of a sudden this game was up for grabs. M.Morin did however put the Club Ecole Orient back in front on the power play but that was short lived as J.Mandracchia evened the score a minute later. After both sides went without a goal, a shootout was the only thing left over for the Club Ecole Orient if they planned on extending their season. Basically, it came down to a skills competition to decide an important game two. This stuff will go either way depending on who can execute under pressure. In tonight’s case, it happened to go the Assadi Consulting inc’s way. D.Desmarais used his sweet hands to fake out C.Malkoun and P.Assadi was perfect stopping all three shooters. It may not have been the end they wanted, but the Club Ecole Orient will feel proud for what they achieved. In reality, only one goal along with a shootout challenge made the difference. As for the Assadi Consulting inc, nothing more was expected-from a team that finished first in the regular season and looked to repeat as champions. On behalf of Hockeyballe.com, congratulations go out to Pedram Assadi and the rest of his club for winning it twice in a row.
