The Assadi Consulting inc, who had struggled for three straight games to combine for a 45 minute effort, finally put out their best hockey on Thursday night. They definitely felt they needed a win, and despite going down early 2-0, the bench remained calm taking it a shift at a time. The penalty kill finally worked, P.Assadi was sharp in net, and the forwards connected for some nice playing resulting in crucial goals. Overall , it took a strong defensive game-from a side that gave up a ton of goals so far. Though still not where they want to be, this result will hopefully regain some confidence to a team that’s been startled till now. Payam Assadi continues to elevate his game producing three points in the win. The Panthers had their duo between P.Stroubakis and J.Mason put up some numbers as both players combined for four points.

F.Benahamadi OT strike completes Fatal Demons rally over Brew Crew

F.Benahamadi scored a minute and a half into overtime, and the Fatal Demons rallied-from a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Brew Crew 3-2 on Thursday night. You never want to trail against a team that make it a point to block shots while having their full unit commit to a man on man game. As frustrating as it was for over two periods, A.Zarzour ended the spell finally beating C.Muccino. That goal came early in the third period giving more than enough time for an equaliser. Eventually they got their very late in the game, after the Fatal Demons were forced to pull out their net minder. P.Paikopoulos went to the right place, the front of the net where he swiped at a rebound that just trickled by the Brew Crew net minder. With overtime perhaps tilting the momentum towards the Fatal Demons, F.Benhamadi was able to cap it off on a second effort. The Brew Crew will look back at some moments where they could have regained a two goal cushion. Luckily enough for the Fatal Demons, R.Ranieri was there to shut the door and keep the game very close.

Armadillos keep United Arms in check in low scoring affair

In a defeat sealed by two third period goals, the United Arms played very well in what was a tight knitted contest versus a solid Armadillos team. This game went scoreless for nearly two periods. It took a power play opportunity for P.Musto of the Armadillos to strike first. The United Arms knew they didn’t have much room out there with the game being as tight as it was. However, only one shot was needed for this game to be tied. And with that next goal so crucial, S.Simitsakos was able to provide it for the Armadillos, who knew by then that this game was theirs for the taking. A.Papazian of the United Arms did finally get to C.Stavriadis, but that left less than three minutes on the clock. J.Kontitsis responded shortly after to add insurance in what was a hard fought victory. The United Arms did an excellent job keeping up with a front runner in this division. While they thrive on their defensive game, more will be expected-from their key forwards to score.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Fares Benhamadi of the Fatal Demons. After being down 2-0, the Fatal Demons bounced back reaching the finish line first thanks to F.Benahamadi’s effort of going to the net while picking up his own rebound for the winner.
