Country Club trending in the right direction riding two bounce back wins

The Country Club showed that they are able to put some brutal losses behind them quickly. It was clear on Monday night that they don’t like losing as they took care of business taking both their games against a relentless opponent. S.Pilot was there to snap a late 1-1 tie for his second of the game, and the Country Club added two late insurance markers to capture a 4-1 win. The Snipers made it a point to come out better in their second contest, and they did just that winning the frame 2-1. The problem was that they couldn’t contain a particular player that haunted them in the previous match. S.Pilot, although he didn’t score, was the catalyst behind the Country Clubs second victory setting up all five markers. The momentum shifted in the span of a minute where the Country Club turned a slight deficit into a lead. From-there, the Snipers never recovered no matter how hard they tried to even the score.

C.Gingras, P.Karvouriaris put on offensive clinic for Classics

Its seems no matter how hard you try, you just cant stop a two headed monster. And its not like the Orient cant match the talent level of the Classics. Both players know how to read off each other and find just enough open space to make any defense and goaltender wonder what went wrong. One of their big strengths is their ability to win the one on one battles. Its almost like the ball is glued to their blade no matter how crowded they are. Out of the Classics nine total goals, the two combined for ten points against a very good hockey team. The Classics do have the luxury of a good supporting cast as well in players such as M.Mavroudis, who collected six points and the Kakivelis brothers that will be just as influential. Adding to all that, S.Morante was lights out, especially in the first game making a ton of jaw dropping saves. The Orient may not be pleased with the overall results, but they wont be to concerned  knowing that they have the artillery to compete against anyone.

Dragons barely hang on in opener vs Assadi Consulting Inc before running out of steam

With the way the night transpired, it looked as though the Dragons just couldn’t keep up anymore. They barely took the opening contest 6-5 after being up by three goals on three occasions. The Assadi Consulting Inc just fell short in the end, but made up for it in the ensuing match. M.Croteau struck first, Y.Gazura netted back to back tallies right before P.Nakhle widened the gap for a 4-0 lead. The Dragons couldn’t get much going unable to keep the ball long enough. It showed that the Assadi Consulting Inc had that extra gear and edge throughout most of the match. P.Assadi didn’t have his best game in the opener, but managed to bounce back nearly earning a shutout until J.Scalia spoiled it late in the game. J.Mandracchia continues to be the Dragons most lethal weapon up front accumulating four goals and an assist.

Sluggish Horsemen fall to HC Jokerit after both teams tied the opening game

Things were going fairly well for the Horsemen after tying their first game with the HC Jokerit. They scored the games first two goals in the ensuing match, and everything appeared to be going according to plan. Well, it became evident shortly after that the Horsemen needed a better edge to their game, because the HC Jokerit came out flying. It seemed that every single chance they generated -from that point on resulted in a goal. Four different players took turns finding the back of the net before the frame ended followed with three more different players adding to the onslaught by the time it was said and done. Every time the Horsemen tried to create something in order to bounce back, the HC Jokerit went the other way to make them pay. Sometimes bounces just don’t go your way, and the Horsemen were stuck enduring many plays they felt could have been prevented. However, that’s not to take away-from a group of players that showed absolutely no quit in their game. The HC Jokerit have the bodies, energy and desire to compete which could bring them a long way this season.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to S.Pilot of the Country Club. It was clear that the Country Club could have used all the help they can after last weeks thumping to the Kings. And because of S.Pilot participating in seven of a possible nine goals, the Country Club got the results they hoped for on Monday night.
