Brewers bounce back after late hip up to RCGT Knights
Its difficult to accept a loss when the game was in the palm of your hands. The Brewers came that close if not for giving up a late tally followed with a shootout marker that held up for the RCGT Knights. V.Mancini was the only of three players to capitalize during the breakaways beating a solid net minder in C.Stavriadis. With the game finishing that close, the second encounter was expected to be the same, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The Brewers were clearly the better of the two sides scoring twice in both frames while playing a sound defensive game. F.BcHara riffled a pair of tallies, and C.Stavriadis frustrated his opponent stopping all 20 shots he faced.

Armos and Assadi Consulting Inc split after back and forth action
Meeting for the first time this season, both these teams showed that they love to take high end chances, and why not if you have the fire power to do so. The Armos showed some instant chemistry taking the first match in large part due to K.Duplin lighting the lamp on four occasions. While everything fell into place in the first game for the Armos, there was almost no way that the Assadi Consulting Inc would repeat the same fate. T.Sourios made it a point to address his teammates to wake up and get their act together. His firm message clearly paid dividends as they looked like a completely different hockey club. They managed to get the better start on three straight goals which forced the Armos to take chances and open up. The Armos did finish the first period strong to pull within one, but that was as good as it got for the them. The Assadi Consulting Inc went on a scoring rampage to finish stronger of the two sides by winning the frame handily 6-1.

The SalumiVino player of the game goes to Kevin Duplin of the Armos. Despite playing with many new faces, the sharp shooter had no issues finding the back of the net, and was a big reason why his four goals and assist helped provide the Armos a nice 5-2 victory.
