F.Guerrieri, J.Sanoudakis help provide win for Team Blue

F.Guerrieri scored two timely goals to help Team Blue pull away, and J.Sanoudakis was feeling it on Monday night as the net minder allowed only two goals in 48 minutes. Team Purple had hoped to build off M.Estrela’s tally that cut the lead in half for Team Purple. It was-from that point on that F.Guerrieri took over the show striking twice in only six minutes while setting up E.Pouliot for the empty net marker. Team Blue looked to R.DiMarco and A.Rossi to get on board earlier and provide a 2-0 lead. At times, Team Purple felt that they couldn’t keep up against Team Blue, who kept using their speed to control a good chunk of the game. Maybe if they could have struck first and perhaps get a second tally things could have turned out differently by relying on their game without the ball, and-from their goaler S.Catalano, who has shown that he can win a game on his own.

The SalumiVino player of the game goes to F.Guerrieri. With the score only 2-1 in favour of Team Blue, Guerrieri broke the game wide open on two consecutive goals that provided enough insurance for the victory.

Rapid fire goals propels Team White over Team Yellow

At one point, Team Yellow couldn’t stop the bleeding, and were stuck enduring a difficult stretch. That avalanche occurred by the 20 minute mark where Team White exploded with six tallies in only sixteen minutes. Team White’s goals were concentred by a few players. B.Sorice struck four times, W.Mendoza, G.Zafiropoulos and C.Roberts all cashed in twice as all four players were the only ones to score out of Team White’s ten goals. Surprisingly, Team Yellow have some solid players that know how to defend, but couldn’t manage a proper game plan in order to slow down their opponent. A.Zakarian, P.Deforges and A.Gold were the only players to get the better of K.Beckstead, who stood firm between the pipes.

The SalumiVino player of the game goes to Bruno Sorice of Team White. If you want reliability, B.Sorice will provide it game in and game out. The highly skilled forward was at it again bagging four tallies along with an assist.

Team Black kept battling back but fell short to Team Orange

Every time Team Black tried to climb out of a hole, they kept getting kicked back into it. However, it is difficult to play a team that puts constant pressure, and that has plenty of ball control. Team Black were stuck chasing the game rather than dictating it which only complicated matters. Luckily enough they had C.Arnoldo posting a hat trick along with M.Dearing, who created plenty of offense to keeping the game very close. But it was the strong start along with their possession that defined this match up. T.Settino will burn you on speed and his ability to create quality which only adds up in the end. The forward used two timely goals and a helper as part of the equation for the win. B.Monette may not have scored, but was behind setting up four tallies.

The SalumiVino player of the game goes to Benoit Monette of Team Orange. Plenty of offense came-from B.Monette’s playmaking skills, who helped set up four of seven goals for Team Orange.

T.Scarpelli, G.Lamothe and K.Ferreira make Team Green pay in loss

Going into this game, the big factor was on how Team Green was going to contain Team Red’s offense. Sure, Team Green have some players that can score such as M.Lang, P.Santullo and M.Saia, but as good as those players are in their own right, their focus had to be on how to contain their opponent. While B.Verducci may have been a major reason why Tem Red got this result, the offense came-from only three players generating it. T.Scarpelli, K.Ferreira and G.Lamothe combined for a total of eight points. Team Red were lucky to have B.Verducci stick around and help them in net. After playing in the earlier match with Team Orange, the net minder looked just as fresh in a back to back game where he was brilliant allowing only P.Santullo to get the better of him.

The SalumiVino player of the game goes to Ben Verducci of Team Red. Its almost unheard for a goaltender to allow only one goal in the Draft League, especially when its your second game without any rest. But B.Verducci defied the odds on a brilliant effort that helped his club capture a 4-1 win.
