Gutsy Brewers finish strong in opener, C.Stavriadis takes over for them in second match

For a large part of the opening game, it looked as though the Armos were set to taking their first encounter with the Brewers. They appeared to be well structured defensively, and were always playing in front despite it being a slight lead. Then, all of a sudden, the wheels fell off, and the Brewers came out of nowhere on three consecutive goals. F.Bchara cashed in on his chances three times for a hat trick with the help of his captain A.Lanni, who collected four primary assists. There was no question that the Armos had a bitter taste in their mouth for letting this one slip away. With a chance to even the night, they did everything in their power to score first only to keep getting denied. This time, the Brewers looked to their net minder to bail them out. C.Stavriadis was making one save look nicer than the other which kept frustrating his opponents. Eventually, if you cant capitalise after some decent chances, its almost inevitable that its going to catch up to you. That moment occurred by the three minute mark of the final frame where A.Rivera finally got the Brewers on board. The Armos did level shortly after, but that lasted only ten seconds before F.Bchara regained the lead for the Brewers. Looking back, the Armos have only themselves to blame for not scoring  on their chances.

Fatal Demons had no issues in double rout of RCGT Knights

The Fatal Demons had spatial awareness, and more time on their side tonight to make plays in the offensive zone that the RCGT Knights had trouble controlling. The final score of the first game looked respectable, but the Fatal Demons were clearly in the drivers seat dictating much of the pace. G.DeMarinis scored a pair while M.Destounis was involved in three goals for a 4-1 decision. In hopes to putting out a better effort in the ensuing match, things only went worst for the RCGT Knights. At no point were they even close to competing with the Fatal Demons, who stormed out of the gate with five goals in only six minutes. Their energy carried over quickly, and the RCGT Knights had no answers on how to contain them. Again, G.DeMarinis was a menace striking three times for his hat trick. S.Ruggiero was involved as well bagging a pair along with three helpers while P.Paikopoulos helped provide plays that resulted in four goals.

Brewers steal point versus stacked Assadi Consulting Inc

Its pretty remarkable how the Brewers managed to level in their first of two games versus the Assadi Consulting. They had the disadvantage of plying earlier, they were missing all their offensive guns, and had to deal with rotating only two players on the bench. The Assadi Consulting inc on the other hand had all their weapons which should have suggested for an easy game. That was far -from being the case with the Brewers playing a simple but effective game that kept this contest low scoring. In addition to that, it helped having C.Stavriadis omit enough energy to being a major factor for the 2-2 draw. The goaltender once again enabled his side to go the distance versus a stacked opposition by making plenty of timely saves. Neither team did get much done in the shootout courtesy of Stavriadis and P.Assadi denying all three attempts.  You almost had to figure that the second encounter was going to favour the Assadi Consulting inc for how fatigued the Brewers looked. However, the Brewers made them work for it as the game remained very close up until the mid way point of the final frame where the Assadi Consulting inc got some breathing room. M.DoCouto bounced on his rebound making the score 3-0, and T.Sourias capped it off shortly after to put the game to rest.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to C.Stavriadis of the Brewers. For how good he was, it could almost be argued that his side collected seven points to the standings thanks to his brilliant performances throughout eight entire periods.
