A.Mancini delivers a big goaltending performance for Team Red
(4)Team Red vs Team Yellow(2)
What looked like some easy points to the standings ended up with Team Red hanging on in the end. J.Choudhry and A.Dahglian posted goals only four minutes apart to provide what appeared as a safe 4-0 lead. Up until that point, it looked as though A.Mancini was headed to earning a shutout. The problem was that Team Yellow kept coming at their opponent, and it was only a question of time before they would figure out A.Mancini. Team Yellow managed two quick tallies while putting on some serious pressure in search of a third goal. Unfortunately, time became their worst enemy as they just couldn't get their quick enough despite generating some decent scoring chances. Throughout most of the match, this contest was very close, and could have been even tighter if not for A.Mancini making some key saves earlier on. Since Team Yellow couldn't break the barrier, Team Red would slowly make them pay as the game went on. Four different players took turns finding the back of the net that saw E.Allen and T.Scarpelli share two points each.
The SalumiVino player of the game goes to Albert Mancini of Team Red. With goaltending so important, Mancini never enabled Team Yellow to get into the game until it was too late.
Marie-Eve's second tally caps remarkable comeback for Team Black
(6)Team Purple vs Team Black(7)
Team Black pulled off a comeback for the ages, scoring five straight goals to take a 6-5 lead. Team Purple thought they had stopped the bleeding when M.DaSilva tied the game, but that barely lasted when Marie-Eve was there once more to haunt her opponents. Her beautiful wrist shot found its way through with only eight minutes left in the game. Time wasn't really a factor yet by that point with plenty of it left over for Team Purple, who didn't really generate enough decent chances considering the circumstances. It showed that Team Black regained control of this game and weren't planning to let it slip away. Not bad for a team that looked dead in the water. As much as comebacks can be impressive, they shouldn't be happening at this magnitude. Team Purple needed to keep pressing and avoid getting complacent no matter what the score is. After somewhat of a shaky start , A Michalidis was stellar in net enabling Team Black to overcome an incredible deficit.
The SalumiVino player of the game goes to Marie-Eve of Team Black. In what was an incredible game between these two teams, Marie-Eve came up clutch posting her second goal as part of a four point night to snap a 6-6 tie for Team Black
