3 power play goals all scored by the very same Jeremi Brunet of the Golden Knights played a major role in this result. The Golden Knights went up 2-1 after the first period before Jeremi made the Scorpions pay by netting 3 goals with the man advantage. Other notables in this game included Julien.Brunet,J.Bradley and S.Bedard who all finished their night with a couple of points each.
(4)Black Knights vs Red Lite(2)
2 teams very familiar with one another went at it on Wednesday that which saw the Black Knights take a 2-0 lead on goals by M.Stinziani and S.Leblanc before D.Morency also known as magic was able to reduce the margin in half with a late second period power play goal. The Black Knights added to their lead at the 11:55 minute mark of the third period on a goal by C.Chirola before Red Lite responded once again with a power play goal by M.Duguay making things very interesting with just over a minute remaining in the game. The Red Lite did everything possible to at least force the game into overtime by pulling goaltender J-F.Aumais but that didn’t work out for them as S.Leblanc was able to score his second goal of the game in an empty cage.
(2)United vs Scorpions(1) O.T
This tough defensive battle from both clubs needed extra time to decide a winner. United did open the scoring just before the mid way point of the game on a goal scored by P.Assadi to take a 1-0 lead after 2 periods. The Scorpions were than able to reply very early in the third period on a goal by M.Orlando tying things up at 1 goal a piece. The rest of the period went scoreless as both goaltenders J.Vrettis of United and G.Follano of the Scorpions did an excellent job keeping their teams in the game. This game looked like it was headed for a shootout as the time was winding down in overtime but D.Bertrand of United was able to figure out a way to beat goaltender G.Follano giving his team a nice 2 points in the standings.
