(6)Mighty Ducks vs French Connection(7)
With the game going back and forth, a late third period tally by P.Hargreaves stood to be the difference. After opening up the scoring barely two minutes into the match, P.Hargreaves had a big third period setting up N.Viau before adding the game winner. The Mighty Ducks battled hard and fought back to get into the match in large part due to their captain M.Blackman who was able to score twice while feeding J.Blunt on two occasions.
(3)Werewolves vs Stingers(2)
It took just over two periods for the Werewolves to get on board, and once they did, three different players struck to take the match versus the Stingers. The biggest tally came with just over two minutes remaining when M.Minkiewicz came down the court with a tricky wrist shot to beat D.Melo. The Stingers played a solid defensive game, and maybe even deserved a better fate but P.Turturici stood his ground to help lead his club to victory.
(3)Armored Saints vs Blue Devils(8)
The Blue Devils are very capable of scoring often, and when it’s done versus a team like the Armored Saints, it just goes to show how potent their offence is. E.Girouard, R.Eckel and S.Robineault all had two goals each which wasn’t a surprise at all and M.Dagenais did a fine job between the pipes for the large part allowing three goals that included two from S.D’Agata.
(2)Les Boys vs Assurance Evolution(4)
P.Jarry was generous enough to help make three goals happen and L-P Ferland converted on two occasions for L’Assurance Evolution as they doubled up Les Boys 4-2.L’Assurance Evolution changed the direction of the game early in the second frame where they put together two quick goals in the span of less than two minutes. Les Boys fired over 30 orange balls towards S.Borysiewicz but solved him only twice thanks to efforts from W.Hindley and Simon Giguere.
(2)Carnage vs Renceur(6)
As the game went on, Renceur only got better handing Carnage a 6-2 loss. N.Gilbert had both his goals come on the power play while his teammate B.Deslauriers had one more for a hat trick cashing in every period. Renceur built their momentum by the third frame putting the game to rest with three unanswered goals.
The Boston Pizza player of the night for the E1 division goes to Patrick Hargreaves of the French Connection. In a 7-6 win over the Mighty Ducks, the number 19 not only opened the scoring but was able to bag the winner with only two minutes left in the game. As for the E2 division, Brian Deslauriers of Renceur did what he usually does best and that’s score plenty of goals. The sniper notched tallies in every frame to complete his hat trick versus Carnage.
