(3)Smackdaddys vs Bramabulls(5)
With only one thing in mind, the Bramabulls played to win in hopes of securing top seed of the division .Whenever you have the luxury of players like M.Testolina and M.Argiris in your line up, good things will tend to happen. M.Testolina had a stellar performance burying four out of his clubs five goals and did it with the help of his line mate M.Argiris who also had a four point game.
(4)Dark Warriors vs Kryptonite(1)
Once the ball got rolling, the Dark Warriors capitalised on their chances ousting Kryptonite with a 4-1 victory. Most of their goals came by the third period where E.Mavroudis, N.Kokovidis and P.Heroux all scored to help capture the win. After nearly 40 minutes of play, P.Turturici saw his shutout spoiled courtesy of R.Campopiano’s late tally.
(2)Slayers vs Bramabulls(4)
The Bramabulls will skip round one and get a direct pass to the semi finals after doubling up on the Slayers. It did however take a hard third period effort for the Bramabulls to get going and once they did, three different players struck to beat E.Morris. R.Richard netted the winner, followed with an insurance marker from M.Cerone and G.Follano did his part in nets limiting a good offence to only two goals.
(4)Hellas vs Hellenic Republic of Parc-Ex(3) S.O
In just a short period of time, L.Hondronicolas brought his game to a complete other level. Down 3-0 with less than half of the third period remaining, the Hellas captain was absolutely brilliant notching three quick goals to force extra time. If that wasn’t impressive enough, L.Hondronicolas mounted his club to victory as the only successful shooter in the shootout. The Hellenic Rep know they let this one slip away and will look to bounce back in next weeks battle in hopes of carrying good things heading into the playoffs.
(2)Slayers vs Spartans(3)
It’s always a difficult task taking on the Spartans, especially having played only an hour earlier. The Slayers nearly brought this contest into overtime until P.Arkalis cashed in with just under three minutes remaining in the game. Evenly matched, each side traded goals in both the first and second frames before the late tally occurred. Games this close requires solid net minding and C.Stavriadis lived up to expectations allowing only two tallies from a very good hockey team.
The Boston Pizza player of the night goes to the Hellas captain. Louie Hondronicolas did something remarkable netting three straight goals late in the game along with the shootout winner to stun the Hellenic Republic of Parc-Ex 4-3.
