(6)Team Finland vs Blazers(3) Game 1
Team Finland get the Blazers late with three third period goals to grab a 1-0 series lead. J.Corsi was able to snap the third period dreaded tie which led to a pair of insurance markers from J.Tutino and V.Crivello. Leading to that point, M.Gioia put Team Finland in a good position notching the first two goals for his club. The Blazers did grab the lead twice but weren’t able to contain their opponents for a full 45 minutes.

One productive period along with an overall balanced effort was just enough for the Blazers to even up the series. The Blazers put the pressure by the second frame and benefited three straight times that included two very late tallies for a 4-1 lead. J-S Godin made plenty happen posting up two markers and P-O Lagace added to the lead when he scored very late in the frame. Despite bouncing back with a pair of unanswered tallies, Team Finland had to settle for the loss and hope to get the Blazers back in game three.

Each side had at least 15 minutes to get the job done and despite leading the game 1-0, Team Finland collapse in the end. The Blazers season was decided with less than three minutes remaining when P.Perrier scored to even the score at one goal a piece. With the amount of time left, the next goal was surely going to decide who claims the C division title. After assisting on the game tying goal, J-S Godin riffled the most important one of them all barley a minute later which ultimately held up as the game winner. The Blazers did a fantastic job earning the series in a fascinating and increasingly dramatic fashion. Although this may sting Team Finland for a while, Marco Raimondo and his troops have nothing to feel sorrow about. The Boston Pizza player of the finals goes to Joey Samuel Godin. In all three games the number four was a huge factor. After scoring once in game one and adding two goals in game two, Joey Samuel Godin was clutch in the series by assisting and scoring the most important tally in game three to help the Blazers claim their ultimate goal.
