Thursday May 7(Finals)
(4)Brewers vs Mighty Drunks (1) Game 1
If there is one team you don’t want to trail against, it would be the Brewers as the Mighty Drunks found out how hard it is to battle back. The men in blue put together two first period goals and led the match 4-0 by the mid way point of the third period until the Mighty Drunks finally cracked the barrier. D.Colatosti was a force notching the back to back tallies while setting up D.Verta, who also had a three point game. C.Muccino was solid, often keeping his team in the game, and stopped all but one shot from G.Chountalos.
(1)Mighty Drunks vs Brewers(2) Game 2
With only one think in their minds, the Brewers put everything they had out there to capture a well earned championship. Things got a little interesting in this one, but C.Muccino and company stood tall in finishing off their opponents in two straight games. The Brewers played well from start to finish and grabbed the lead twice that included a big power play goal from C.Moutafis. When a team is able to limit a good opponent to only two goals in two games, speaks volume of how structure, discipline and plenty of experience plays a role. Tonight, the Brewers erased the memories of how things ended in their previous finals by taking the crown as champions once more. On behalf of Hockeyballe.com, we would like to congratulate Laz Papadopoulos and the Brewers for taking it home.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to C.Muccino. Two goals against in two games merits the honour for the combative net minder.
