(5)Smackdaddys vs Rhum & Coke(3)
You never want to give up a short handed marker at a crucial time of any hockey game, but that’s what Rhum & Coke did to drop their contest versus the Smackdaddys. P.Casacalenda came through for the Smackdaddys breaking a 2-2 tie on Rhum & Coke’s power play just passed the mid way point of the game. S.Euchi then added to the lead late in the game with his first of two on the night with both goals coming with the man advantage. Rhum & Coke had the better start to the night building a 2-1 first period lead, and worked their power play fairly well by striking twice with tallies from J.Blais and D.Boyczun.
(1)Smooth Sailors vs Dark Warriors(3)
It’s never a bad thing when a team can defeat a solid club with only two changes to their bench. The Dark Warriors did everything right by keeping the game close and by striking when the opportunity was given. S.Robineault was clutch posting goals in all three frames, and P.Turturici was definitely a huge reason why his club got the result by making save key brilliant saves all game long.
(7)Spartans vs Hellenic Republic(2)
Once the first period ended, the Spartans paced their way to an easy 7-2 win over the Hellenic Republic. The Spartans carried a 3-0 lead into the second frame where P.Karvouriaris and E.Antonopoulos each notched their second tally of the night. P.Musto and G.Tsolis didn’t score but made three goals happen with assists, and C.Stavriadis earned the win after facing a mere 13 shots.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Pietro Turturici of the Dark Warriors. Having to do it with a short bench, the combative net minder limited a team like the Smooth Sailors to only one goal.
