(2)Brewers vs TANK(4)
They just can’t seem to catch a break. The Brewers battled back to overcome a 2-0 deficit, and with the game winding down, P.Franck regained the lead for Tank who still remain undefeated after five games. Franck and D.Deslauriers combined for four points and A.Mancini went flawless after giving up an early second period tally from the Brewers captain L.Papadopoulos. This was the first of two games in a double header night for the Brewers.
(0)Brewers vs Hellas(3)
While it’s still fairly early into the season, this contest was treated as a must win situation for both sides. Each club battled hard in order to capture that final playoff spot, and while maybe some tired legs didn’t help their cause, the Brewers weren’t able to get at least one by S.Sauk. Hellas sparked goals twice in the second period courtesy of F-A Monette and M.Goudreau and got a late insurance marker from N.Macrozonaris en route to their first win of the season. Plenty had to do with the brilliant net minding of S.Sauk who denied every 31 shots he faced in order to record the shutout.
(6)D-Blocks vs Legacy(7)
Legacy started off strong up 3-1, but found themselves digging out of a two goal deficit. Down 5-3, E.Girouard and S.Robineault had plenty to do with the result as each player remarkably put three goals behind the D-Blocks net minder. Most of those tallies came as of the mid way point of the game where Robineault started his barrage netting his clubs last three goals of the game. Legacy still remains undefeated trailing Tank by three points but hold a game in hand.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Scott Sauk. Hellas are currently in a playoff position thanks to their exceptional goaltending from Scott Sauk.
