Thursday August 27(Semi finals)
(3)A-Team vs Wocafloka(6) Game 2
If it’s possible for two teams to play absolutely great and yet for one of them to be simply to strong that was Wocafloka in this game and in this series. Still yet to drop a game from the season’s opening faceoff, the well oiled machine produced two goals in every frame to double up the A-Team. J.Samaha, as a defenseman took care of half of the offence by netting a hat trick while controlling the back end with ease. As much as the A-Team hoped for better, the young squad have plenty to feel good about, especially after turning their season around by the mid way mark.
(5)Billionaires vs Tutto Fumo(6) Game 2
It took an army of 18 players, but when it was said and done, A.DiPerna and Tutto Fumo find themselves a step closer to their objective. It may have never happened before but Tutto Fumo rolled four pairs of wingers along with three centres just to try and keep up with a younger and quicker group. The Billionaires had the better start with a 3-1 lead and seemed to be in control until the aggressive pace of Tutto Fumo slowly took over. With that many players available, Tutto Fumo spread out their offence that saw only J.DeSua score twice while the Billionaires depended on B.Marsillo, who bagged four out of his clubs five goals.
With the top two seeds advancing, Tutto Fumo will need to use their big bench and play a near perfect series if they hope to hand Wocafloca a loss. The problem with that formula is that Wocafloka have yet to taste defeat and will look to continue that stretch with only a couple of games remaining.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Jim Samaha of Wocafloka. As a defenseman, J.Samaha scored three goals to help lead his team to the finals.
