(2)Spartans vs Bramabulls(4) Game 2
Bramabulls over power Spartans to capture B division title
Aside from a few moments, there was little bite from the Spartans who struggled to get any goal scoring done for most of the night. The Spartans were done in by their inability to cash in on their scoring chances .J.Beaudry, backed up by an air tight defense lived up to the task going flawless for nearly the entire game. The Bramabulls scored late goals in both the first and second periods and made the score 3-0 before P.Plaisir got the better of Beaudry late in the match. Still not out of it yet, the Spartans notched their second tally when J.Adamou riffled a slap shot from the blue line to get within one. That goal forced A.DiPerna to use a timeout. After gathering his troops, the Bramabulls took plenty of possession with just over a minute remaining giving no time for an equalizer. D.Morency seized the opportunity by hitting an empty cage for his second of the contest. If the Spartans had a night in which nothing went right, then the Bramabulls had a night in which nothing went wrong. Led by their captain A.DiPerna, and the presence of many talented players the, Bramabulls reached their goal on Monday night as B division champions. On behalf of Hockeyballe.com, congratulations go out to Anthony Diperna and the rest of his troops for getting it done.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes out to Jonathan Beaudry. After facing 20 shots, the veteran net minder stood tall and protected a 3-0 lead for nearly the entire night to earn his biggest win of the season.
