2016 ISBHF World Masters Championships

The Canadian Ball Hockey Association (CBHA) is deep in preparations with Provincial hosts, the Wild Rose Ball Hockey Alberta (WRBHA) and the International Street and Ball Hockey Federation (ISBHF) to deliver a spectacular World Masters Championship event in Banff this year.


The 2016 ISBHF World Masters Championships will be held from June 1st to 5th, welcoming teams already confirmed from the US, Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Greece, India, Italy and of course, Canada comprising of at least thirteen Men’s national teams in total and six Women’s national teams.
 
Using the tagline, “Masters Elevated” to promote the event, the marketing machine is in full flight. Event information, including links to hotel packages, travel information, and the sport schedule can be found at www.Banff2016Masters.com.
 
Says Shelley Callaghan, President of the CBHA, “We are so thrilled that Canada will be the Host Nation for World Masters this year. Over the years, so many countries have hosted us, and now this is our chance to welcome Masters athletes from across the international ball hockey community to our home. Banff is an incredibly beautiful part of our country, and we can’t wait to share the real Canadian experience with everyone. The sport competition is going to be outstanding of course, and with thanks to the assistance of our Provincial association, Wild Rose Ball Hockey Alberta, we know that this event will deliver a fabulous travel experience to our visitors also.”
 
With two arenas confirmed at the Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre acting as host venues, the Tournament Celebration Night confirmed on June 5th, a trade show of ball hockey vendors and suppliers from the Banff area slated to be showcasing at the event, it’s looking like being a fantastic week.
 
Hotel accommodation is booking up quickly, and teams are encouraged to reserve their accommodations at event hotels before the end of April, 2016.
