Three second period goals lead Monsters over Les Raymonds

S.Nobile scored twice right before J.Marchica stretched the lead for the Monters late in the second period. Both sides had their fair share of power play chances trading one goal each.The Monsters out shot Les Raymonds to capture an important win in the season. Prior to the match, only three points separated both clubs for the last playoff spot. The Monsters will be breathe easier with a six point lead as Les Raymonds will be forced to capture some wins if they plan to make the post season.

Both teams thrive in special team’s battle, edge Bolts

Some lack of third period disciple nearly came to hurt the Bolts, who managed to hold on to the tight win. The Money Shot scored three times with the man advantage, two coming by the third period when L.DeCubellis and T.Oliveira each scored to come within reasonable margin. Then, M.Pinella narrowed the gap by one and all of a sudden the Money Shot were back in the game. The only problem was that there wasn’t much time to continue their momentum. The Bolts had to kill nearly four minutes to capture the victory. M.Gagnon had a multi goal night and C.Stamadianos may have netted the most important goal of the game coming in a shorthanded situation for the winner.

Acolytes wake up in the third period to beat Deadlast

G.Langelier was victorious making 21 saves, and the Acolytes scored three times in the third period to upend Deadlast. The Acolytes trailed twice during the night, but once they grabbed the lead, G.Langelier made sure to protect it. K.Levasseur, R.Lefebvre and S.Dicaire all came through when their team needed them the most. This marks a fifth win in six games for the second seed of the F2 division.

S.Bentivegna’s hat trick powers Pendelis past Primetime

S.Bentivegna notched half of his team’s goals, and Pendelis walked away with a rollicking 6-5 win over Primetime on Wednesday night .After a dominant second period, Pendelis looked to have an easy night but it wasn’t the case as Primetime crept back into the match. With less than 30 seconds remaining, A.Petrucco leveled the game at five in what was surely headed for overtime. But as luck would have it, Pendelis responded with a quick dagger only seconds later courtesy of Bentivegna’s hat trick. That goal came on the power play which was their second tally with the man advantage. It may have come as a stinger, but Primetime won’t be feeling to down after battling hard to make a game of it.

Bulldogs winning streak hits wall, fall in overtime

The Bulldogs rode a four game unbeaten streak that fell to the hands of the Hellish. The Hellfish took their opponents very serious from the beginning with three unanswered goals. A start to the game that the Bulldogs aren’t used to. Despite falling deep in a hole, the Bulldogs demonstrated that they weren’t out of the woods just yet. With the help of a power play goal by M.Turgeon and a shorthanded tally from N.Smith, the Bulldogs pulled within one. The Hellfish did finish the second period stronger with M.Chartrands’s power play goal for a 5-3 lead. But that lead was eventually compromised when M.Denominee and M.Turgeon each tallied for their second of the game. The Bulldogs had the momentum going into overtime but couldn’t feed off it as S.Monnet spoiled the night giving the Hellfish plenty to celebrate.

P.Sidhom scores twice, Horsemen rally by HC Inter

Despite tying the game twice, the HC Inter struggled to get that much needed lead versus the division leaders. In the second period, P.Sidhom carried the Horsemen with two big goals getting help from V.Pandza, who added one as well for his third point of the game. Each side did all of their scoring by the second which left M.Vinciguerra to take care of the third period. The net minder had another hot night denying 23 of 25 shots. In the loss, D.Crivello got the scoring done with both goals. Its six games into the regular season and no one has yet to figure out the Horsemen as they remain undefeated.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Sergio Bentivegna of Pendelis. The newly added player made an immediate impact with three goals that included a late dagger in a close 6-5 win over Primetime.
