(4)SBS Trashers vs Street Ballers(1)
SBS Trashers make splash with three second period goals
It took some time but the SBS Trashers finally cracked the ice when M.Crivello scored by the mid way point of the game. That was just a sign of good things to come as two more goals went in before the period ended. With that kind of lead, it was very unlikely that the Street Ballers would be able to overcome it. They did manage to play spoiler when M.Beaudry beat R.Pampena with less than five minutes remaining. Like they have been doing all season, the league leaders got contributions from all their players one way or another. No one had to play the hero in this match as four different players scored to get the job done.
(6)Spare Parts vs Eagles(4)
Spare Parts get some positives after a long week
It was only seven days ago that the Spare Parts sufferered a horrendous 10-3 loss to the hands of Les Balcons. If there was one recipe to try and forget that moment, it would be by trying to put a win together versus the Eagles. Although it was anywhere close form convincing, the Spare Parts took their opponent very serious which eventually benefited in the end. Each side played a very tight game and kept the score very low, at least for the first two periods. But the third period was when things started to shift in favor of the green shirts. The Spare Parts found their touch by posting five markers that included scoring efforts from different players. Led by their captain, S.Sicuso notched a vital power play goal while setting up three other teammates. The Eagles may only have two wins but their performance does not at all reflect their record. With only two games remaining, they still have a very good chance of getting in especially that they play the Street Ballers in the last game of the season.
(1)Carnage vs Les Balcons(5)
Les Balcons keep surging in 5-1 oust of Carnage
After a very average start to their season, Les Balcons are starting to get the attention they deserve. As time goes on and having an army of players, it’s no wonder why they will be a pain to play against. Tonight, Carnage found that out with only one goal in under 20 shots. W.Hindley led the charge with Les Balcons first goal while setting up two straight courtesy of J.Benoit and M-A Dubois. Les Balcons won the first and second periods 2-0 before trading goals by the third. If they can continue to play at this intensity, many teams will struggle to keep up with them.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Sebastian Sicuso of the Spare Parts. The captain wanted to make sure to put his team back to their winning ways. After scoring on the power play, the sound defenseman produced three helpers to finish with four points.
