Hawks jump start series with three shootout goals

With both sides playing a chess match style game, there was only one area in the contest that made the difference in game one, and that was in the shootout. On all three attempts, the Hawks didn’t miss once which led to an important jump start to the series. K.Aruajo, D.Galloro and S.Marricco all scored to get the better of C.Muccino while the Stones had their ringer T.Settino beat S.Pare with a precise wrist shot. The Stones grabbed the lead during the game with a goal by T.Settino coming by the five minute mark of the second period. It took only three minutes from there on for D.Galloro to level the game. The shots were even which came to be expected how both sides played.

Stones bounce back to even series

B.Larcheveque scored two goals, C.Muccino held the fort in net and the Stones savaged the series with a 5-2 win over their rival. Despite preaching the first goal and actually getting it when D.Galloro scored early, the Stones took over anyway with two tallies before the end of the frame. Both goals came from B.Larcheveque that included a late power play marker. For a second time, D.Galloro got the better of C.Muccino, and just like that, the Hawks were back in business. However, the Stones weren’t impressed, the next ten minutes belonged to the desperate club who bagged three in a row to force a third and deciding game. T.Settino set up the winner coming off the blade of D.Lucchesi while adding an insurance marker late in the contest

Hawks repeat in 3-2 shootout win, back to back winners of 35+ division

D.Galloro did it again on Tuesday night for the Hawks, stepping forward to score the lone regulation goal and the shootout winner inflicting another devastating loss on their rival Stones. Throughout both playoff rounds, D.Galloro couldn’t be more clutch. The natural sniper saved the Hawks season versus the Dragons with three shootout markers after trailing 2-0 late in a deciding game. The same script came to haunt the Stones as well, especially C.Muccino who couldn’t figure out how to deny him. The Hawks scored four regulation goals that saw three goals and an assist come off the short stick of the sniper. In both shootouts, Galloro couldn’t be denied. K.Aruajo also scored for the Hawks in the breakaways while T.Settino did his part once more getting the better of S.Pare. In a series that couldn’t be predicted went to the ultimate distance to decide a winner. The Stones played their game, and just like the Dragons, both teams couldn’t get that extra inch or the little bit of luck needed to make an entire difference. As for the Hawks, it was all about playing from the get go. Every single player showed up to play and followed a simple brand of hockey to get the job done. In a series that could have gone either way, the Hawks found a way to win it and repeat as champions of the division.
