Hit List defense play soft in 9-3 loss to Fatal Demons

The Hit List hasn’t addressed their defensive woes as they allowed plenty once more this time against the Fatal Demons. The problem was that they couldn’t get much going up front like they usually do on most nights. The Fatal Demons like to suffocate their opponents and tonight it showed limiting a potent offense to only three goals. The charge was led by many players including two goals each by S.Koulieris and M.Chenier, and four helpers by K.Araujo. Each side played to a 2-2 second period draw which was as good as it got for the Hit List. L.Richard scored twice in the loss. The win places the Fatal Demons tied with the Hit List with six points but hold a game in hand.

M.Blackman has two goals, D.Bourque collects 20 save shutout

In the final minute of the first period, K.Simon scored and Les Immigrant knew they were in for a difficult night. The second period wasn’t much different with the Shockers adding to their lead. M.Blackman ignited two markers during the frame that included a power play goal. The only thing left over at that point was to see if D.Bourque would be able to cap off a perfect night. Indeed, the net minder found a way to deny all 20 shots his way giving nothing to a struggling opposition. Despite the loss, Les Immigrant limited a powerhouse that averaged 7.5 goals before this game to only four tallies. J.Zell did all he could to keep his club in it but couldn’t get some production in order to have a chance.

Brew Crew survive late scare, hold off Butchers

After taking a big lead late in the second period, the Brew Crew relaxed a little and it almost cost them the game. Six different players scored, and M.Rheaume had a three point night to hold off a late surge by the Butchers, who scored twice very late to pull within one. That sequence allowed them to pull their net minder in hopes of tying the game with only 90 seconds left on the clock. Unfortunately, it didn’t pan out as D.Verta fed an empty cage with only 10 seconds remaining. The Butchers got two goals by S.Agostino that included one with the man advantage. With the win, the Brew Crew are in a three way battle only to trail the first place Red Nose by three points.

N.Delia’s  4-goal night extends Red Nose’s perfect streak

N.Delia’s four goal night (plus an assist) helped the Red Nose continue their dominance in the E Sunday division. While the game was completely one sided, the Red Nose never let go of the gas pedal posting plenty of goals in every period. M.Latreille and C.Gingras notched two goals each with Gingras adding three helpers. He didn’t score but M.Bourassa was behind making four goals happen. Team Sportek got their lone tallies by A.Gauthier Wells and S.Dagenais as the only two players to figure out S.Morante. It’s now the mid way point of the regular season and the Red Nose couldn’t ask for a better start with a 5-0 record. The question now becomes can they duplicate the same results as more and more teams will aim to gun them down?

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Nicola Delia of Red Nose. The natural sniper posted four goals and an assist to help continue a good thing for the division leaders.
