D.Corbeil and Hit List deliver in 9-0 rout of Les Immigrant

Everyone knows by now that the Hit List can put up the numbers. The difference in this particular contest was that they didn’t concede anything. That being said, Les Immigrant have struggled all season to score accumulating only six goals in as many games. Out of their nine goals that went in, the Hit List saw only four players find the back of the net. D.Corbeil had the most with an impressive four goal performance followed with two goals apiece by L.Richard and J.Daoust leaving the lone tally for their captain S.Trudel, who did accumulate three assists. The Hit List got stronger as the game went on scoring twice on four power play opportunities. It wasn’t his busiest night, but J-L Trudeau did earn a shutout after denying 18 shots.

Butchers get 7 different goal scorers in 7-1 decision over Team Sportek

With the help of three power play goals, balanced scoring and solid goaltending by G-L Zapatelli, the Butchers ran up the score with an easy win over Team Sportek. The Butchers led only 1-0 after one period. It was by the early stages of the second frame that the flood gates started to open up. A.DeSua notched a power play goal and S.Agostino scored only moments later to provide a three goal cushion. Team Sportek did respond when E.Gauthier beat G-L Zapatelli , but that was all they got by the Butchers defense and net minder. These came as valuable points for the Butchers, who are looking to set the bar higher than just entering the playoffs.

Shockers fail to halt perfect win streak by Red Nose

If there was a potential team that could have taken some points away-from the Red Nose, the Shockers could have been one of them. However, the E Sunday division will need to wait a little longer to see if anyone can stop a well oiled machine. The Shockers have no issues scoring and it showed early on after escaping with a wild 4-3 opening frame. Then, for whatever reason, the dry spell hit the younger side. The Red Nose tweaked something in between frames that limited their opponent to only one goal. Meanwhile, Red Nose was putting up plenty of numbers, especially in the second period with four unanswered tallies. C.Gingras, N.Delia and J-P Meunier did much of the scoring with two goals each. In addition to his pair of tallies, C.Gingras helped set up four markers to finish with six points. As for the Shockers, J.Hurley and C.Debonis took charge netting two goals apiece.

Two third period goals lift Brew Crew to win over Fatal Demons

The Brew Crew defeated the Fatal Demons by a close 3-2 win on Sunday night and now sit in second place only to trail the undefeated Red Nose by three points. The Brew Crew trailed 2-1 early in the third period before taking over with a pair of unanswered goals. L.Verta leveled the game and S.Lodico snapped the dreaded tie with only five minutes remaining. Both goaltenders excelled in this contest facing a minimum of 25 shots each. C.Muccino made that one extra save to earn the win over his counterpart S.Sauk.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Carmen Muccino of the Brew Crew. In a close 3-2 win over the Fatal Demons, the net minder was brilliant making 25 saves.
