Shockers use three shorthanded goals as part of 10-1 rout

It’s never acceptable allowing three shorthanded goals in any game, but it didn’t really matter too much in this case. The Shockers had already built a significant 5-0 lead before netting one of three with a man less. T.Debonis led all scorers with a hat trick. J.Blackman and P-J Gauthier fell next in line netting a pair each .Team Sportek held their own for quite a while but couldn’t keep up by the second half of the game where the flood gates opened for the Shockers. P-L Trudel celebrated the rare moment for Team Sportek as the only player to solve D.Bourque.

Never count them out, Red Nose rally with 4 straight to take contest

M.Latreille and Red Nose mounted what was a remarkable comeback in their 8-7 overtime win over the Fatal Demons. It didn’t matter that the Fatal Demons rode a 7-4 lead with less than a period remaining, at least not against a team like the Red Nose. Already with a pair of markers to jump start his club, M.Latreille showed that he wasn’t done just yet. The dangerous forward rescued his team by tying the game with only 20 seconds left on the clock. And if that wasn’t enough to sting his opponents, his hot hands brought it a step further by bagging the sudden death winner just 30 seconds into the overtime period. The Fatal Demons usually take pride on their defensive game but tonight they can throw it out the window. In addition to the madness, Y.Leroux, C.Gingras and A.Angelis all collected three assists each.

Brew Crew use big third period to down Hit List

The Brew Crew scored twice in about three minutes of the third period to edge out the Hit List on Sunday night. D.Verta came through to make the score 5-4 and R.Mancini struck three minutes later to provide a two goal cushion. The Hit List did respond on the power play but ran out of race track. The win also came with the help of J.Nocera’s two goals and an assist. As for the Hit List, J.Daoust led all players collecting four points that included a feed on D.Corbeil’s one of two goals.

Butchers ride four goal first period, G.Zapatelli earns shutout

The Butchers didn’t waste much time posting four first period goals in their convincing 6-0 win over Les Immigrant. D.Ruiz doubled the lead on the power play and A.Latella scored late in the frame providing a four goal cushion. Les Immigrant did play better at that point on limiting the Butchers to no goals for nearly the entire game. The problem however is finding a way to get on board on a regular basis. The shutout has Les Immigrant stuck with only six goals for in seven games. Tonight, they couldn’t get to G.Zapatelli, who denied all 20 shots his way. They came a little late but A.Jalilvand had two goals coming only 75 seconds apart.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Matt Latreille of Red Nose. His four goals that included one very late to tie it up, and the other that won it in overtime, speaks volumes on how vital he has been all season for his club.
