(5)Legacy vs Icons(3)
Legacy celebrate twice, getting hot at right time
While the focus is primarily on the River Rats and the Icons this season, Legacy proved a point in their 5-3 win over the Icons. After playing only an hour earlier, Legacy showed no signs of fatigue as they managed to collect six clean points. Most of their offence came in the second period within a 4:30 minute span. E.Girouard, M.Champgane and T.Bozinakis were the once who got to C.Stavriadis, who rarely struggles. D.Bertrand, after receiving a pass-from G.Pisanelli and T.Bozinakis was able to put the final dagger with a huge power play goal. For a second straight game, M.Dagenais stood tall collecting wins after facing over 50 shots.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Mathieu Dagenais of Legacy. With the tough task of playing two hard games, the Legacy goaltender was up for it by collecting two wins after facing over 50 shots.
