Team X string a pair of wins over Carnage
Team X got a rolling start in the opening contest with seven goals to defeat Carnage. J.Pantelis continued his torrid point production by scoring twice while collecting an assist and A.Zarzour was just as effective accumulating four points. After trailing 2-0, J.DiMarco cut the lead in half but that only lasted so long as Team X regained a two goal cushion before the end of the frame. From-there, the yellow shirts continued their onslaught by adding four unanswered markers to take an easy win. However, the second game wasn’t anything like the first. Carnage had lots of bite in their game and forced Team X to play up until the final seconds. M.Pace and J.DiMarco got power play goals and A.Passarelli netted their third tally to pull Carnage within one. But in the end, Team X still managed the victory that came with the help of their net minder. P.Assadi made key saves that enabled his club to get some timely goals to squeak out a tight victory.

Venom oust Les Yables twice with pure goal scoring ability
It was another effective night for Venom and their arsenal of snipers. Defeating Les Yables is far-from easy but Venom managed to do it twice by riffling 11 goals in both games. That is something Les Yables isn’t used to as they keep the goals against fairly low. But if you aren’t aware of whose in front of you than these results may make some sort of sense. In the case of the first game, B.Deslauriers got involved scoring twice out of the four Venom goals en route to a 4-2 win. The second encounter had someone other than Deslauriers plug away at the net. Out of the seven tallies that went in, J.Courteau buried four while setting up a marker. In that particular case, B.Deslauriers decided to deliver by providing four passes. K.Araujo chipped in with three points and R.Ranieri had an outstanding night allowing only five goals versus a very good hockey team. This is a lesson that Les Yables will take with them and adjust accordingly if in case they meet up in the playoffs.

M.Baccari shorthanded goal gives Punishers six clean points to standings
It’s not like the Punishers need the extra points at this stage of the season but why not try and finish strong with good habits heading into the post season. The Punishers used balanced scoring in the opening contest that included five goals in the second period and two goals with the special teams by the second game to edge out the 1 Timer. The match was deadlocked at two goals apiece and the 1 Timer were handed a golden opportunity on the power play only to see it haunt them in the end. M.Baccari scored with the man short with just over four minutes remaining and the 1 Timer weren’t able to respond. C.Gingras, D.Ruiz and M.Baccari all clicked well in the second game combining for six points. The 1 Timer saw their usual suspect do most of the damage as P-A Surprenant participated in all six goals in both games. Both these wins secure top seed and a first round bye for the Punishers with two games left to go in the regular season.
