(7)Bramabulls vs Acolytes(5)
Bramabulls victorious in penalty filled game
The man advantage was the norm as the Bramabulls held on for a 7-5 win over Les Acolytes in a game with more than its share of penalties. But the despite the amount of trips to the penalty box, both sides only combined for three power play goals. The Bramabulls got there with balance scoring that included a pair of markers by M.Diaco. After a very slow start to the night, Les Acolytes went on a complete take over by the second period where they riffled four goals to win the frame 4-2.S.Dicaire helped spark the comeback posting two quick markers before the end of the second period. However, that momentum eventually hit a wall with the Bramabulls responding with the next two tallies en route to their second win in as many starts.
(3)Hellfish vs Les Agents Libre(4) O.T
T.Oliveira rescues Agents Libre after giving up late shorty
The frustrations were felt for Les Agents Libre, who nearly let slip away what had to be a sure win. Up 3-2 along with a late power play opportunity, Les Agents Libre gave up a devastating shorthanded goal to put the Hellish back in the match. But that didn’t faze T.Oliveira as the explosive forward took matters into his own hands. It took only eleven seconds after the draw in overtime for Oliveira to shift the celebration in his team’s direction. Les Agents Libre just defeated a very good hockey club and got there with the additions of three key components. The win came with efforts from-four different goal scorers. The Hellfish had the better start winning the opening frame 2-1 but were nowhere to be seen for long stretches up until a late shorthanded goal forced the extra time.
(7)Primetime vs Les Raymaonds(4)
No stranger to goal scoring,T.Shpindler nets 3 for Primetime win
Give him the opportunity and he will most likely score. Some players have that knack for finding the back of the net and Primetime know this as they are glad T.Shipindler is one of those players. The sniper led the way scoring once in every period to help Primetime start their season with an impeccable 3-0 record. Apart-from their goal scoring abilities up front, A.Qureshi took care of his own end by allowing a single goal up until the late stages of the second period. Les Raymonds took a while to get the ball rolling, but once they did, J.Flynn was able to go on a scoring rampage bagging three out of the four goals for Les Raymonds. M.Deninno helped set up three tallies in the loss.
(1)Horsemen vs Brew Crew(5)
Brew Crew drop Horsemen in solid overall effort
Although the Horsemen took an early 1-0 lead, the Brew Crew weren’t too concerned as they eventually took over the match in its entirety. Both side played to a 1-1 first period draw before the game shifted in only one direction. The Brew Crew started to warm up early in the second period when D.DiGiacomoSr snapped the tie that eventually led to a two goal cushion courtesy of D.Verta. From-there, C.Palermo scored early in the third period and D.Verta added his second just to make sure that the lead would stick till the very end. Its only two games in but the Brew Crew do carry an impressive stat allowing only one goal in as many games. C.Muccino will not be complaining much with the kind of defense he has in front of him as the net minder will look to remain sharp as the season rolls along.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to C.Muccino of the Brew Crew. The net minder allowed only one goal against a team that normally has no issues scoring.
