(1)Street Ballers vs Spartans(6)

Spartans respond with big statement game

When many may have thought that the Spartans would struggle to score goals, will now have many realize how completely wrong they were after their lopsided win over the Street Ballers. The Spartans proved that they won’t be a push over after netting six straight tallies before conceding their only goal with just over a minute remaining in the game. S.Leblanc was flawless up until that moment when M.Mogianesi spoiled the shutout. But that’s just a minor detail for a team that is glad to respond in a big way after their blow loss only a week ago. Plenty of their offense came-from a new addition in S.Lague, who notched half of his team’s goals to earn a hat trick. The win came with the help of everybody pulling their weight and playing a full out 45 minute game. J.Tesolin did a great job leading his team off and on the court by setting up three different teammates.

(5)Bramabulls vs Raging Rhinos(4)

Bramabulls power play strikes three times in 5-4 win

M.Diaco scored a pair of power play goals while B.Sansotta collected three points in a close 5-4 win over the Raging Rhinos. Despite trailing by three markers, the Raging Rhinos managed to narrow the gap with a pair of tallies courtesy of M-A Piche and S.Pilon. Unfortunately, that was as close as it got for the trailing side. The Bramabulls had built enough of a cushion that led to a tight victory. M.Diaco and B.Sansotta dressed for a first time and made an immediate impact combining for five points. The Raging Rhinos did have D.Ramada raise some eyebrows as the steady defensemen riffled two goals while setting up a teammate.

(4)Carnage vs SBS Trashers(6)

Captain E.Panzera leads way with two power play goals

Two visits to the penalty box for Carnage led to a pair of power play goals for the SBS Trashers. D.Brunetti  and F.Gentile were the ones that took advantage of the five man unit as both player scored third period power play goals that may have ultimately made the difference in the match. Carnage did have their opportunities but couldn’t take advantage on three occasions. It came in a losing cause but M.Pace may have been the best player of the court. The fierce forward created havoc and got his way with the SBS Trashers defense by riffling a hat trick while setting up J.DiMarco. As for the SBS Trashers, E.Panzera took the leadership role by posting the opening and closing goal for his club.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Simon Lague of the Spartans. In his season debut, the forward was a huge reason why the Spartans sparked so many goals. S.Lague struck three times while adding an assist to earn the player of the night.
