(4)Les Raymonds vs Publiks Crew(3) O.T

When it rains it pours

The Publiks Crew blew an opportunity to capture their first win of the season when A.Hussain used a late shorthanded goal to send the game into overtime. Les Raymonds would go on to take the contest in the sudden death frame thanks to M.Deninno’s second goal of the game. No one would have thought that this battle would be so close when considering how both sides have been playing all season long. And even more surprisingly, the Publiks Crew went the entire distance with only seven players dressed. E.Skotidakis was behind setting up all three goals that included feeds on N.Siomkos’s two tallies for the Publiks Crew. If not for their special teams, Les Raymonds would have gone empty handed to a winless team on Wednesday night. Instead, one power play goal along with a shorthanded marker may have ultimately made the difference in this match.

(5)Hellfish vs Brew Crew(4) O.T

Divisional pride on the line

What a night for the Hellfish. The F3 division leaders just handed the F2 top seeded Brew Crew a shameful loss. It’s not that the Hellish can’t beat such a club, but when doing it with only six players, the Brew Crew have to be asking themselves what went wrong. In such cases, it takes your goaltender to flourish as B.Verducci did the improbable out dueling his counterpart C.Muccino. Already with a goal and an assist, D.Ugladez took the spotlight when bagging his second to end the night half way into the sudden death period. The Hellfish couldn’t have played a better game considering the circumstances. As for the Brew Crew, it was just one of those nights they hope to forget soon.

(7)Bramabulls vs Mtl Huskies(4)

Sometimes it takes only one player

J.Palmitano put in a man of the match performance to help lead the Bramabulls over the Mtl Huskies. The brilliant goal scorer couldn’t be stopped having posted an incredible five goals. What made his output that much more impressive was that he bagged a natural hat trick in the third period that snapped a 4-4 tie resulting in a 7-4 final score. The Mtl Huskies aren’t new to how dangerous the Bramabulls striker really is. Unfortunately, they didn’t play his well enough on this night to limit the damage. Despite the loss, the Huskies captain R.Estrela keeps on producing, this time adding two more goals just like his teammate M.Iacovone did getting the better of A.Grieco.

(5)Horsemen vs Acolytes(6)S.O

M.Robillard scores shootout winner in 6-5 win

The Horsemen were hoping that five goals in regulation time would be enough but it wasn’t the case as they settled for only one point in a shootout loss vs Les Acolytes. At no point was there a two goal lead for either side as the game kept going back in forth. T.Zermalias finished with three assists for the Horsemen while M.Robillard may have been the most effective player with two goals and the shootout winning marker. The Horsemen played with fire having to kill a late penalty followed immediately with an overtime penalty. However, Les Acolytes were unable able to capitalize on both occasions up until the shootout where Robillard notched the lone goal.

(9)Les Agents Libre vs Primetime(4)

Les Agents Libre overwhelm Primetime in first period

It certainly wasn’t the start they were looking for, at least not for Primetime. Les Agents Libre stormed out of the gate riffling five first period goals making Primetime look like they were standing still during that span. By that point, the damage had already been done and Les Agents Libre just kept going about their business making sure that they didn’t fall asleep the rest of the way. A few players did get noticed a little more on this night. One being T.Oliveira, who led all players with four goals and two assists. Next in line was M.Alfieri as the crafty forward buried a pair as part of a five point performance. As for Primetime, L.Haouzi was expected to score and he did putting two behind M.Melo while his teammate D.Zabitsky was able to collect three points.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Danny Ugaldez of the Hellfish. With only one spare, the Hellfish pulled out an impressive 5-4 overtime win over the Brew Crew thanks to D.Ugaldez’s sudden death winner.
