(4)Primetime vs Lumberjacks(7)

Lumberjacks chop away with seven goals

The Lumberjacks are getting hot at the wrong time. With barely any margin of error, collecting two straight wins may not be enough to get into the post season. But regardless the scenario, they did put forth another solid effort that resulted in seven goals .M-A Haber, like always will be relied on as the slick forward produced four more points. In addition to his production, J.Eid and P.Kawkab each scored once while setting up two goals apiece. Primetime got a bulk of their scoring done by J.Rabchuk and D.Zabitsky as both players scored twice in the loss.

(9)Deadlast vs RBK Knights(2)

RBK Knights mauled by Deadlast

It's the same old story for the highly charged Deadlast. Lots of ball possession resulting in plenty of goals. Unless teams figure out how to slow them down, the end result won't be a pretty one. The RBK Knights kept it close for a very long period of time until a late second period hiccup occurred. In the span of only 15 seconds, G.Demos and S.Simitsakos each scored and the RBK Knights found themselves in a deep hole heading into the third period. That three goal cushion expanded by the third period with four more tallies. After setting up four teammates, B.Makris decided it was his turn to score by closing it off with two straight markers.

(4)Venom vs Armadillos(5)

Armadillos, kings of third periods

At this point in time, it's no shock to anyone that the Armadillos are the kings of third period. Most of their decisions come in that one single frame alone and tonight wasn't any different-from the previous numerous times. Venom led 4-3 when B.Deslauriers snapped a 3-3 tie, and with still a ton of time left over, nothing was decided just yet. The familiar theme eventually occurred when K.Koutsogiannopoulos levelled the game just past the mid way mark of the frame. Then, D.Andrade joined in posting the go ahead marker less than two minutes after the Armadillos tied things up. That short sequence shell shocked Venom, who felt they deserved better.

(3)Fat Cats vs Hellfish(4) O.T

F.Benhamadi and Hellfish send serious message to Fat Cats

At this point into the season, the Hellfish don't really care that the Fat Cats hold top spot of the division. As long as they know that they can beat them, then its good enough in their quest for bigger things.  However, the Fat Cats may have only themselves to blame in their only loss of the season. The division leaders let slip away a 3-1 lead in the third period giving up three straight tallies. That's definitely not a good trait for a club that's dominated the division so far. But the Hellfish aren't a push over, and for them, they felt that they could challenge the comeback. R.Kelendji and D.Ugaldez each scored in the final frame to send the match into overtime where F.Benhamadi brought it a step further collecting his second of the night with the sudden death winner.

(6)Horsemen vs Les Agents Libre(5)

Leadership comes through at the right time for Horsemen

Who other than your captain to step up at a time of need? With so much on the line for both sides, V.Pandza set the example of how to play in a desperate situation. He led the way by notching half of his team's goals that included the winner. But surely he wasn't the only one putting out the required effort. The Horsemen, overall did a fine job playing and protecting their lead which forced Les Agents Libre to play catch up all game long. S.Govas was another vital piece as the mobile defenseman settled things down and contributed with four assists. With this result, Les Agents Libre are now forced to collect points in their last two games of the season if they plan to get into the playoffs.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Vinko Pandza of the Horsemen. Knowing how important the game against Les Agents Libre was, V.Pandza saved his best for that crucial match up by sparking three big goals.

(6)Hellfish vs Lumberjacks(3)

F.Benhamadi plays a dominant north south game

The Hellfish unleashed an offensive onslaught despite having only two change ups versus a stacked Lumberjacks team. While he may have notched only one of the six goals that went in for the Hellfish, F.Benhamadi was the best player on the court involved in five of his clubs tallies. His up and down the court style game gives more than just the necessary numbers needed for wins. Benhamadi plays the game the right way by defending well as a centre that often causes turn over's leading into great scoring opportunities. J.Roblin got the ball rolling with his team's first two markers, and B.Verducci remained calm in net after facing plenty of shots his way to earn the victory.

(6)Bramabulls vs Les Agents Libre(5)

Les Agents Libre fall short in last minute nail biter

Unable to get that one goal to keep their playoff hopes alive, Les Agents Libre were officially knocked out of the postseason in what was tense duel with the Bramabulls. It's not often that an empty net goal proves to be the winner. But in a case when the win is necessary, Les Agents Libre pulled their net minder in a 5-5 game in hopes of collecting the victory for the extra needed points to remain alive. Unfortunately they just fell short against a very good hockey team. They did carry a 4-2 lead at one point thanks to R.Estrela's back to back tallies in the second period. However, that didn't faze the Bramabulls, who eventually took over with three in a row. D.Verta was the catalyst behind the comeback striking twice as part of an overall four point night. As for the game winner, A.DiPerna couldn't have buried an easier one in his career. The Bramabulls captain also collected four points in the win.

(2)Primetime vs Fat Cats(4)

Fat Cats bounce back with third period surge

It was only 24 hours ago that the Fat Cats had that annoying bitter taste in their mouth after dropping an overtime game to the Hellfish. And the way this contest was going, that taste was going to ferment even longer if not for a late third period surge. J.Scalia knows all about bad breathe because of his profession as a dentist and made sure to wash away any lingering odours by single handily taking things into his own hands. The Fat Cats just avoided their second loss of the season thanks to the tall forwards four straight points that included three perfect feeds. G.DeMarinis snapped a fairly late 2-2 tie, and D.Mili erased all doubts by feeding a yawning cage.

(1)Horsemen vs Venom(7)

J.Courteau strikes twice, Venom leaves Horsemen in rear view mirror

Leave it to J.Courteau to put his mark in a 1-1 game. The Venom striker scored two quick goals to carry a 3-1 lead heading into the third period. Till that point, the Horsemen held their own putting up a good challenge but couldn't keep it going long enough. Once the third period hit, this match took off in only one direction. Venom ignited four straight goals that saw Courteau set up J.Quesnel-Vinet twice before completing his hat trick. After facing 26 shots, R.Ranieri had a stellar night allowing only V.Pandza to get the better of him.

(3)Les Raymonds vs RBK Knights(2)

M.Dupuis and Les Raymonds overcome two deficits

Twice they led and twice they couldn't protect it long enough. The RBK Knights went ahead on a pair of occasions with goals by S.Katerelos and N.Faria before falling behind by the late stages of the second period. It was at that point of the game that Les Raymonds grabbed control of the situation. A.Henein just finished bagging his second with feeds by M.Deninno to start the third period with momentum. Still, the RBK Knights had the time to battle back but noticed that M.Dupuis and the rest of Les Raymonds weren't going to make matters easy. The net minder stood tall and remained focused knowing that he would be the difference maker. M.Dupuis faced close to 30 shots to help secure a hard fought win.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Fares Benhamadi of the Hellfish. Running up and down the court like he does game in and game out the, Hellfish are glad to have a player like Benhamadi who collected five points with only two spares.
