(5)Bramabulls vs Werewolves(3)
Bramabulls wrap up season with 5-3 win
After an early jump, the Bramabulls built a 3-0 lead and held on to finish their season on the right foot. Five different players found the back of the net that saw P.Charbonneau and G-C Pisanelli collect three points each. The Werewolves, despite their bad start pulled within one by the second period but couldn't level the game in time. M.Minkiewicz fared well setting up three different teammates in the loss. J.DeSua's third period early goal proved to be just enough for the Bramabulls, who will settle for a 6-4 record and a fourth place finish.
(6)SBS Trashers vs Mohicans(2)
SBS Trashers lock up president trophy in E Thursday division
Now that step one is complete, can the SBS Trashers bring it a step further ?Only time will tell, but for now things seem to be rolling just fine for E.Panzera and the rest of his crew. They did make an important move just prior to the signing deadline. With the addition of M.Siconolfi, there already charged offense just got that much better. The recent addition played only four games and made a splash accumulating five goals and a helper where he picked up two markers and an assist in tonight's contest versus the Mohicans. Joseph Scalia matched his teammate with two goals, and R.Pampena is the real deal in net limiting a good Mohicans team to only two tallies on 27 shots.
(5)Raging Rhinos vs United Arms(2)
United Arms make Rhinos fight for their win
Even though the United Arms know that they aren't participating in the post season there compete level remained in full gear. The Raging Rhinos had to battle hard and fight till the very end in order to seal the win. Surely, it helps when one of your better players produce. E.Brady took matters into his own hands collecting three straight points that included two goals. This contest was only 3-2 after two periods before the Raging Rhinos went on to adding a goal per period.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Michael Siconolfi of the SBS Trashers. Its only four games that he played, but M.Siconolfi may be that extra piece that the SBS Trashers need to go all the way. Tonight, the skilled player collected three points to his collection and will look to carry that momentum into the playoffs.
Now that the E Thursday regular season came to an end, eight teams will be primed to play in the real season. The first round is a one game do or die match up, and when looking at how close the standings are, anything is possible. The match ups are as follows:
(1)SBS Trashers vs Mighty Drunks(8) Clearly the SBS Trashers are deeper up front and heavy favourites going in. That being said, the Mighty Drunks can be frustrating to play against when they bear down and trap. They will need to keep the game close and rely on S.Sauk to steal the show in order to have a chance.
(2)Raging Rhinois vs Chiefs(7) The Chiefs need to get their defence act together. If they don't manage to play sound defence, than the Raging Rhinos will pick them apart with their dynamic trio up front.
(3)Ottarks vs Mohicans(6) The Ottarks have at least 3 game breakers up front with a solid supporting cast. The Mohicans need to identify the Ottarks strength in order to avoid an early exit.
(4)Bramabulls vs Werewolves(5) The balance is there for both sides. The Bramabulls just came off a 5-3 win over the Werewolves because of a very good start. With every detail counting, both sides must limit their mistakes.
