(1)Kentucky Blue vs Punishers (6)
Strong first period was all it took for the Punishers
By scoring three times in less than nine minutes, the Punishers did all their work for the night to collect another victory. Even though the Kentucky Blue attempted to battle back with plenty of time left over, the trailing side kept realising how hard it was to answer the bell. There only goal came as of the nine minute mark of the third period when M.Stoico spoiled N.Mackeen's shutout. The Punishers used a shorthanded and power play goal to widen their lead. P.Arkalis was only player to score twice while P.Karvouriaris continues his tear adding three more assists.
(4)Team Haiti vs United Armenians (5)
United Armenians overcome slow start to edge out Team Haiti
The first five minutes for the United Armenians looked like a team disinterested. They gave up two quick goals-from the very same D.Vericain. Fortunately, G.Jerjian responded immediately and all of a sudden the United Armenians would slowly begin to play better. As a matter of fact, they played more than just good as they replied with four unanswered goals that put them in the driver's seat. H.Jerjian was involved in that mix bagging a pair that included the winner.
(1)Hellfish vs HBHA Masters 37+(6)
An early ride leads to an easy finish for the HBHA Masters
It didn't take long for the HBHA Seniors to convince the Hellfish that this game belonged to them. By using wave after wave of pressure due to their very deep bench, it was only a question of time that a wave of goals would eventually go in. The great thing about their offense is that no one in particular is to be relied on. The Seniors saw six different players find the back of the net with no one accumulating more than two points. The Hellfish normally defend better than what they showed early on, but not in tonight's case as they had no answers to slow down a more experienced hockey team.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Gino DeMarinis of the Fat Cats. The dynamic forward did it all by setting up two power play goals while striking twice to finish with an impressive four point game.
