From calibers B, C, D and women’s, Quebec captures 4 gold’s, 3 silvers and 1 bronze medal. Prior to the tournament it came to no surprise to expect nothing less as all teams and team captains did an excellent job preparing for months to put the best unit possible out there. The Generals representing the lone Quebec B team cruised to a fairly easy championship after building a quick comfortable lead versus the Mississauga Flash. The feature final did however occur in the C calibre where two familiar teams involving the Capitals and Royal Flush clashed in a battle that took only one direction by the second period where the Capitals where able to put a strangle hold on the match leading to another of many acolytes for the legendary club. In the newly added D division involving 4 Quebec teams, all made it to the semi final rounds where Nick.Cinquino and the Northstars held goal as the first ever D division champions at an Eastern Regional tournament. They had to do it versus a rival opponent in the Vipers where both clubs presently play in the difficult C Monday night division. As for the bronze medal game, it was somewhat expected that both the Bramabulls and the Justin Gladiators faced off against each other as both teams may have lacked some depth compared to the Vipers and the Northstars. That being mentioned the Bramabulls did claim third seed as bronze medal champions. And of course how can we forget the women’s final that also involved two Quebec teams between the Powerball and the Warriors only to have the Powerball come out on top as winners. All in all it was just another successful performance from all participants as many bring home plenty of hardware and wonderful memories for years to come.
