The CBHA announces the new GM for Team Canada Masters

The CBHA is proud to announce the General Manager who will lead the Canadian National Men's team at the 2014 ISBHF Master's World championships in Tampa Bay, Florida, USA on September 18-21.  The tournament which is being hosted by the USA promises to be the largest Master's Men's following the first two which were held in Bratislava, Slovakia and Pilsen, Czech Republic.

The GM chosen by the CBHA HP Director and CBHA Men's Chair and Board counsel is François Chalut of our Quebec Association.  Chalut started playing ballhockey in High School in 1990, and his journey from his beloved neighborhood Brossard, led him to be part of a team called Dynamique Info Système that evolved finally into the Black Knights.  If that was not enough in 1995 he joined a team called the Steelers who, in 1999  was a part of the beginning of the Red Lite.  That is part of ball hockey royalty.  Since then he has been the spearhead of the Eastern Regional powerhouse Capitals for years bringing this classy franchise to our CBHA events for years always having clean, skilled and well organized teams.  Travelling the Eastern province's and visiting our provincial associations and garnering two gold medals in his teams travels.  Team Canada hopes this excellence will rub off to our Masters Nationals team.  Just like he has for his many teams that he has been part of on their creation to Gold.

CBHA Men's chair Jason Baiani, states, "Frank's expierence in the game and attention to detail will be integral in the success of the Masters program and our National team representing the CBHA and all of our provinces".  Chalut will take over a program that will be filled with CBHA Hall of Fame players, ex-National Team players and top CBHA players of the past.  The program is a family who has represented Canada with pride,  clean play thus fulfilling its ambassadorial mission in its first two Worlds.

Chalut hopes to lead the Masters team to its first Gold medal to go with the Silver and Bronze it has earned under the past excellent leadership of Mike Schweighardt of BC.  Chalut says" It is such an honour to be named GM of Masters Team Canada. I have been organizing teams for more then 20 years ans I have always been commited ans passionate about it. THis time, it's th ebiggest challenge that I will face. Being a part of an International competition and beeing the General Manager of our country is something that didn't seem possible not long ago. All the experience acquired in the past will permit me to select the men and players that will make Team Canada a success story.
Our group will be skilled, intense, fast, disciplined, commited, passionate and will form a family that will be remembered.
When you wear the leaf on your uniform, this goal is not to be great or excellent, it is to bring back home the Gold!"

The team will be named in the next few months, and the CBHA its members, and CBHA board are proud to name a person of François Chalut calibre and excellence to our National program.
