River Rats win despite amassing ton of penalty minutes

Despite spending plenty of time in the penalty box, the River Rats still managed to defeat the Northstars. Marco Diaco may have shifted the game in the River Rats direction when snapping 2-2 tie late in the second period. On their rare occasion, F.Dominianni struck with the man advantage. M.Testolina fed an empty cage to collect his third point of the night. The River Rats won this match with some lack of discipline. If they remain focused and stay out of the box, than it’s safe to say that they will be the front winners of the division.

J.Provost Blais overpowers Thunderballs with 5 goals

It’s not the first time and it won’t be the last that J.Provost-Blais humiliates his opponents. Tonight, the Thunderballs fell victim to the explosive goal scorer. In the first period alone, J.Provost-Blais ignited a hat trick. Maybe by then the Thunderballs realized who the problem was but couldn’t figure him out by giving up two more tallies. To his help, J.Adamou was behind the madness. The slick heads up defenseman set up five out of the six goals scored by the Left Wings. The Thunderballs had a decent start to the night but went dry for over two periods. F.Vigliotti captured the win after facing 16 shots.

Legacy show hunger early on to get back on track

Losing their two first games of the season is something that Legacy doesn’t easily except. It was why they were by far the better squad in the opening period. If not for J.Beaudry’s out lights performance, this contest would have been in the books early. Legacy did still manage to grab a 2-0 lead with goals by M.Champagne and S.Govas but tended to slow down as the game went on. The Bramabulls kept battling and working hard enough to eventually get rewarded with a pair of their own. The match could have ended in regulation time if not for late equalizer by C.Lato. That goal eventually set the stage for a shootout. After trading a goal each, T.Bozinakis gave his club something to finally celebrate about by netting the winner.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Joel Provost-Blais of the Left Wings. Simply unstoppable, Provost-Blais riffled five goals to help lead his club over the Thunderballs.

J.Admaou shows why he’s at another level

Despite being out played, out battled, out runned and basically out everything, the Left Wings somehow won this hockey game. The only sensible reason for such robbery is by having the best player in the division. With only one spare, the elite defenseman played the entire game and was basically the reason why the Left Wings escaped with points. J.Adamou scored two goals and set up J.Tzanetakos with only four second left in the contest. The Northstars felt stunned knowing they played a better match. The Left Wings scored two out of their three tallies with 90 seconds remaining. But as much as Adamou deserves the acolytes, the Left Wings can also thank their net minder for the result. F.Vigliotti had to stand on his head making enough brilliant saves to keep the game close.

J.Morina scores twice, River Rats beat Thunderballs 5-1

The River Rats fired enough shots and generated more opportunities to take down the Thunderballs on Saturday afternoon. After building a 2-0 first period lead, M.DeTorre used a big power play goal to widen the margin. The Thunderballs eventually got on board early in the third period when awarded a power play as well. C.Stamadianos solved A.Mancini for the first and only time in the game. J.Morina had a multi goal performance while setting up M.Crialese for his clubs fifth goal of the day.
