Late goal propels United Arms to 3-2 victory over Chaos

With a little over a minute remaining in regulation time, forward G.Jerjian scored the game winning goal that gave the United Arms s a close 3-2 win. Chaos would respond twice with third period markers to level the game but were never able to jump ahead. For good portions of the match, the United Arms carried the play producing 25 shots .P.Assadi had his hands full and gave his club a real chance to win only to fall short against his counterpart R.Kenadjian, who stopped 13 of 15 shots. The United Arms improve to a 4-2 record occupying third place while Chaos still remains in a playoff race tied with Les Raymonds for the last spot.

C.Zafiropoulos shines in thumping win

Every so often C.Zafiropoulos keeps reminding his teammates that he’s still got that scoring touch. The league leading UHC dominated fromm start to finish against their lacklustre opponent, going ahead in the opening minutes and never looking back. The first period barely ended with the score 5-0.C.Zafiropoulps opened the scoring, added a late first period tally before begging two quick goals to finish with a four goal game. In addition to the onslaught, L.Pazienza was virtually involved in most of the offence collecting six points that included a pair of tallies. Still undefeated after six games, the UHC dominate in many statistical categories, especially their goals against having allowed only eleven.

Late Fat Cats push falls short

When the clock finally struck zero, the Fat Cats were exhausted. They had put together an impressive effort against the F2 league leading Les Boys, at times looking far and away like the best team on the court. The only problem-it wasn’t a complete effort. For the final fifteen minutes of play, the Fat Cats looked like the better team, but the first portion was a forgettable one that ultimately doomed their chances. Les Boys opened up a 2-0 first period lead, and carried a 5-1 lead heading into the final frame. J-P Meunier scored twice in the win sealing off the night with an empty net marker. The Fat Cats did see their power play work going two for four. J.Scalia had a very productive performance participating in all four goals in the loss.

Primetime surge by third period, T.Shpindler leads way with hat trick

Primetime rode a three goal third period surge to take the game over the RBK Knights. Much of the effort was lead by T.Shpindler, who notched two third period tallies to complete his hat trick. The RBK Knights couldn’t ask for a better game, at least for the first two frames where they took control of the match. A.Jalilvand scored twice and helped set up a goal for the RBK Knights who hoped they could have escaped with some valuable points. Despite the loss, the RBK Knights do hold a three point lead over two clubs battling for a playoff spot.

Scorpions keep playoff hopes alive with big win

It’s been just that kind of season so far the Scorpions. With wins hard to come by, B.Douek and his group know that they need to battle every minute and every portion of the game in order to get results. Tonight, they managed to take the lead, and never gave it up, at one point being up 5-3 with only a period remaining. The Young Guns didn’t throw the towel and kept fighting back pulling within one when L.DeCubellis notched his second by the third. That tally left just over ten minutes in the game. And while the comeback was in progress, H.Trahan had other ideas denying every ball his way. The net minder kept his team in front and had a solid third period to capture some key points. This result complicates the standings with three teams battling for a playoff spot.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Tzor Shpindler of Primetime. His three goal performance enabled Primetime to take the match by the third over the RBK Knights.

Les Boys take over after strong start by Horsemen

For half the game, the Horsemen were in control but that changed by the third. Les Boys didn’t have an easy matinee contest despite their unbeaten record of six in row.After struggling to get their offence going, Les Boys surged by the third netting four markers. In that span, C.Gingras was the centerpiece posting two very quick tallies only a minute apart. C.Stamadianos had a very solid game as well bagging two second period goals before completing his hat trick in an empty cage. While he wasn’t the only one to hit three, V.Pandza did just the same for the Horsemen.

C.Stamadianos wasn’t done just yet, helps Hellfish double up RBK Knights

After finishing playing with Les Boys and posting a hat trick, C.Stamadianos remained on the court to help the Hellfish in the F3 division. The hard working forward showed no signs of fatigue or slowing down. C.Stamadianos duplicated his efforts by posting his second hat trick in only two hours. The Hellfish added three key components that surely played a significant role in their result. In addition to the win, Y.Gazura who also played with Stamadianos earlier on was able to score twice. The RBK Knights didn’t have a bad game but couldn’t match the offensive strength of the Hellfish. F.Bchara and A.Jalilvand did much of the work riffling two goals each.

UHC kept it simple, Chaos found out the hard way

While the effort and will to compete was there for Chaos, the UHC showed their years of experience by taking control of the match. M.Cristiano may have played with a blind fold for how nice he was being set up to collect an impressive five goals. The UHC simply played their game and used all five players properly on the court to generate their chances. The division leaders struck early on and build their way to producing an abundance of goals. L.Pazienza and B.Patel alos made the score sheet netting two goals each. Despite their bad start, Chaos did finish strong tying the third period 3-3.That last sequence may help them be ready and better prepared for Wednesday night as both sides meet once more.

Young Guns ignite fire late with three goals

The Young Guns never threw in the towel as they bounced back late in the third period and take the game. In a strange see saw effect, the Scorpions went down 2-0, then bounced back with four straight goals only to give up three more markers to fall short. T.Oliveira, captain of the Young Guns powered his way scoring once while setting up two goals. E.Quadrini benefited fromm his captain and had a strong debut accumulating three points. Both sides met in their previous encounter that saw the Scorpions take the game with an identical score.

United Arms feast on thin line up

Unless Primetime played a perfect defensive game, they surely knew they had no chance versus a better prepared group of guys. The United Arms rolled their lines and simply out worked Primetime getting more than enough goals. Y.Derohannessian stick handled his way setting up two teammates while notching a pair himself. H.Genc tallied twice as well and collected four points as the veteran defenseman showed that he’s nowhere close to slowing down. This win puts the United Arms in front of Primetime for second place of the F3 division.
