When the clock finally struck zero, the Fat Cats were exhausted. Scorpions keep playoff hopes alive with big win

It’s been just that kind of season so far the Scorpions. With wins hard to come by, B.Douek and his group know that they need to battle every minute and every portion of the game in order to get results. Tonight, they managed to take the lead, and never gave it up, at one point being up 5-3 with only a period remaining. The Young Guns didn’t throw the towel and kept fighting back pulling within one when L.DeCubellis notched his second by the third. That tally left just over ten minutes in the game. And while the comeback was in progress, H.Trahan had other ideas denying every ball his way. The net minder kept his team in front and had a solid third period to capture some key points. This result complicates the standings with three teams battling for a playoff spot.

For half the game, the Horsemen were in control but that changed by the third. Les Boys didn’t have an easy matinee contest despite their unbeaten record of six in row.After struggling to get their offence going, Les Boys surged by the third netting four markers. C.Stamadianos had a very solid game as well bagging two second period goals before completing his hat trick in an empty cage. While he wasn’t the only one to hit three, V.Pandza did just the same for the Horsemen.

After finishing playing with Les Boys and posting a hat trick, C.Stamadianos remained on the court to help the Hellfish in the F3 division. The hard working forward showed no signs of fatigue or slowing down. C.Stamadianos duplicated his efforts by posting his second hat trick in only two hours. The Hellfish added three key components that surely played a significant role in their result. In addition to the win, Y.Gazura who also played with Stamadianos earlier on was able to score twice. The RBK Knights didn’t have a bad game but couldn’t match the offensive strength of the Hellfish. F.Bchara and A.Jalilvand did much of the work riffling two goals each.

While the effort and will to compete was there for Chaos, the UHC showed their years of experience by taking control of the match. M.Cristiano may have played with a blind fold for how nice he was being set up to collect an impressive five goals. The UHC simply played their game and used all five players properly on the court to generate their chances. The division leaders struck early on and build their way to producing an abundance of goals. L.Pazienza and B.Patel alos made the score sheet netting two goals each. Despite their bad start, Chaos did finish strong tying the third period 3-3.That last sequence may help them be ready and better prepared for Wednesday night as both sides meet once more.

The Young Guns never threw in the towel as they bounced back late in the third period and take the game. In a strange see saw effect, the Scorpions went down 2-0, then bounced back with four straight goals only to give up three more markers to fall short. T.Oliveira, captain of the Young Guns powered his way scoring once while setting up two goals. E.Quadrini benefited fromm his captain and had a strong debut accumulating three points.
