Chaos gets plenty of steam by second period in must win game

The relief of getting six second periods goals has Chaos one step closer to securing a playoff spot. Both sides entered the night in desperation need of points, but it was Chaos that put together an overall full out effort. J.Lalonde gave his club plenty to celebrate as the forward led the way netting a hat trick. With a total of nine goals going in, it’s almost certain that S.Burrell would be involved one way or another. The sniper only scored once but helped set up six tallies that saw Lalonde benefit every single time. Chaos also got a two goal game by M.D’Alessandro. The loss doesn’t officially eliminate Les Raymonds, but unless they gather a win or maybe two, their chances of getting in are very slim.

Y.Derohannessian scores timely goals, United Arms double up Knights

With the game tied 2-2 after one period, the United Arms looked to one of their go to guys to getting it done. Y.Derohannessian came through bagging a second and third period goal to outlast the RBK Knights. The RBK Knights did their all of their scoring in only 30 seconds. J.Zeitounian and F.Bchara took care of the offense that eventually went dry for well over two periods. R.Kenadjian had plenty to do with the win stopping 25 of 27 shots.

C.Dapoulias strikes twice on power play, UHC winning streak comes to an end

Good things will at one point come to an end. The UHC started off the season with a perfect 8-0 record that finally got stopped to the hands of Primetime. The motivations may have been different for both clubs. The UHC didn’t have much to play for with first place clinched while Primetime wanted to prove that they can keep up with the division leaders. Regardless the motivation, Primetime came out to play. C.Dapoulias was vital in the win riffling two power play goals. This contest was very close for two frames with Primetime carrying a slight 2-1 lead. It was by the third where the game took one direction. Out of their 28 shots, only one by B.Patel was able to get by R.Beaver.

HC Inter celebrate in handing Les Boys first loss in F2 division

Two teams in opposite directions led to a stunning result. The HC Inter came into the match with only one win against a team that didn’t look like they were planning to lose a game. Despite scoring six goals, Les Boys saw their eight game winning streak come to an end. What made this win impressive was that the HC Inter never gave up bagging four third period unanswered goals. Down 6-4, the comeback was sparked with the help of M-O Galarneau, who evened the score with a hat trick. Then, it was M.Dalpe’s turn to get involved as the forward buried his second of the night to put his club in front 7-6.Unable to too put it together, Les Boys suffered one very bad period that saw their record halt after eight games. It came in a losing cause but J.Hurtubise had a very strong night collecting five points.

(3)Scorpions vs Fat Cats(7)

Fat Cats roll the carpet, bag four power play goals

Enter the penalty box and the Fat Cats will surely make you pay. On their five attempts with the man advantage, the Fat Cats rolled the carpet producing four goals. All those goals came as of the mid way point of the match. The game was deadlocked at three goals apiece before the onslaught began. K.Hrivnak collected three power play points while P.Nadeau struck twice with the man advantage to finish with four points. The Fat Cats also got plenty of scoring done by E.Panzera, who riffled three past the defenceless net minder in a six point performance. Despite the loss, the Scorpions held in there for half the match, and if not for penalty problems, then maybe they would have had a different outcome.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Max-Olivier Galarneau of the HC Inter. In what was almost a must win game, the HC Inter forward helped rescue his club by posting a hat trick in a five point performance. The win ended an 8 game winning streak of the division leaders Les Boys.

Jousting for important position, Scorpions survive for now

The Scorpions may have saved their regular season with this very important win, at least for now anyway. This result jumps them ahead of the HC Inter by one point but they aren’t out of it just yet. The HC Inter have one game left while the Scorpions will be watching on the side lines as their season ended on Saturday afternoon. The positive result came courtesy of a late second period, and two late third period goals after being down 1-0.M.Gil came to the rescue very late in the final frame that snapped a dreaded 1-1 tie. The HC Inter attempted to level with a sixth attacker by pulling out J-L Pietroniro, but the end the result didn’t change with K.Rose sealing it in an empty cage. They still aren’t out of it but the HC Inter will need to get a win in their last game versus the Young Guns.

D.Ugaldez late power play goal lifts Hellfish to close victory

It’s one game that Les Raymonds couldn’t afford to lose, and while they nearly had it, a late power play goal may come to haunt them. Each side spent an abundance amount of time in the penalty box that resulted in five power play goals combined. The Hellfish got the extra tally with the man advantage when D.Ugaldez broke a late 4-4 tie. D.Laurin was able to cap it off in an empty net. The Hellfish got there with a pair of goals by J.Roblin. As for Les Raymonds, four different players scored that included two markers with the man advantage by A.Hussain and M.Deninno. With this loss, Les Raymonds will not only need to win their next game in regulation time, but must hope for Chaos to lose by a certain amount of goals in order to pass them on the goals for and goals against differential.

(3)UHC vs United Arms(2)

Late push not enough, UHC hang on for tight victory

Neither side had their full bench, but that didn’t matter so much after the UHC built a 2-0 lead after two periods. The United Arms finally got on board when their captain G.Missakian beat F.Chau early in the third period. However, that momentum was cut short with L.Pazienza striking for his second only 45 seconds later. For second time, the United Arms managed to pull within one that left half a period remaining for an equaliser. As much as the attempts and chances were there, F.Chau wasn’t interested in giving up any more tallies. The net minder held his ground and made many key saves to keep the lead. This win came only a few days after the UHC dropped their first and only match of the regular season to the hands of Primetime.
