K.Araujo snaps late tie, Venom move one step closer
To state the obvious, Venom totally dominated the Jokers early on. The score was 4-1 after the first period which proved to be more than enough to secure a strong start to the series. Leading to that point, Venom got scoring efforts by four different players .J.Quesnel-Vinet went on to add his second in period number two as the only multi scorer of the contest. The Jokers couldn’t have had a worst start such as this one, especially at a crucial time in the season. Unable to bounce back, M.Gagnon got his troops to focus in the second game in hopes of tying the series. The Jokers did adjust by keeping the game extremely close. Each side traded a first period goal that in some ways was good for the Jokers giving them a fifty fifty chance to even the series .But as time was winding down, K.Araujo pulled the final trigger with the go ahead marker. The Jokers attempted once more to tie the game and got two golden opportunities in the slot area but weren’t able to solve M.Trivisonno. The net minder didn’t have a busy first game but was determining factor in the second contest to get the job done. With both these wins, Venom moves one step closer to their ultimate goal.

Team X overwhelm 1 Timer in both games, set date with Venom
When a team shows up with a full roster, and take the task seriously, then only good things can happen. Team X directed much of their focus on doing plenty of the little things right. With the disciple of riding three quick lines and eliminating time and space by their opponent, this series was completely one sided. B.Pereira scored twice in a 6-1 win to open up the series. T.Settino set up three goals and P.Assadi was near perfect in net except for a power play goal by P-A Surprenant. After playing the way they did in the opening contest, Team X took nothing for granted in the second game. However, nothing was decided up until the second period. After carrying a slight 1-0 lead, the flood gates eventually opened. B.Pereira showed no signs of slowing down as the power forward added two more goals to his total. His efforts were complimented with the help of his line mate A.Lanni, who accumulated three assists. In the end, the 1 Timer were overwhelmed by a very determined group of guys. Team X entered the night taking their opposition very serious knowing that their previous encounters have all been decided by a very close margin.

(0)1 Timers vs Team X(5) Game 2
With this round coming to an end, the top two seeds will go at it in what will be a close final. Both sides have the players up front that can score and the experience required to win. It may come down to many factors, but one of the key elements may have to do with the goaltending. M.Trivisonno or P.Assadi may make that difference as both net minders will need to be on top of their game.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Brian Pereira of Team X. In both games versus the 1 Timer, B.Pereira bagged a total of four goals to help send his club through to the final.
