(10)Kentucky Blue vs Golden Knights (2)
Kentucky Blue Steamroll Golden Knights
Before they knew it, this game was over and done with. The Kentucky Blue steam rolled past the Golden Knights surging with four first period goals. D.Caruso scored two in a row before adding his third later in the game to collect a hat trick. While he wasn't the only one to put three behind S.Sauk, James Tutino had a similar performance netting three straight to close off what was an easy night. The only bright moments for the Golden Knights came by the third period when R.Kilgour and F.Bchara each scored to get the better of P.Delli Colli.
(1)United Armenians vs HBHA Masters 37+(4)
Balance continues to be key for the HBHA Masters 37+
The HBHA Masters aggressiveness in all three zones was rewarded once again on Wednesday night. They got the start they wanted winning the opening frame 2-1. From-there, the HBHA Masters protected their lead with a heavy fore-check and good goaltending. One of the reasons that make the HBHA Masters difficult to beat is that anyone can hurt you at any given time. In tonight's case, four different players scored that included A.Stamiris's winner late in the first period. C.Stavriadis still had his hands full but did a splendid job anyway stopping all but one shot.
(1)Fat Cats vs Team Haiti(4)
Three third period goals push Team Haiti past Fat Cats
Once the third period hit, Team Haiti were able to crack G.Sangiovanni with three unanswered goals. Only two players scored in the win with C.Simeon and M.Croteau celebrating the feat .Considering the circumstances, the Fat Cats did hang in there for a long while with only two changes ups. Team Haiti clearly had the legs and energy to outperform a more tired side. M.Dorismond didn't have an easy night but remained focused to earn the win in net.
(3)Hellfish vs Winter Soldiers (4)
Winter Soldiers strike late to seal victory
With time winding down to its dying moments, the Winter Soldiers were able to avoid overtime by breaking a 3-3 tie. For most of the night, the Winter Soldiers kept fighting-from behind and never once led until they buried their late marker. N.Gikas helped mount the comeback riffling two goals in only three minutes. Perhaps the big story of the contest belonged to M.Kardum, who scored all three goals for the Hellfish. Despite losing the game in such a heartbreaking fashion, the Hellfish will grab positives knowing that they came so close to defeating the division leaders.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Midwin Dorismond of Team Haiti. If not for his brilliant presence between the pipes, Team Haiti risked going empty handed versus the Fat Cats.
