(5)Mighty Drunks vs Nighthawks (6)
Nighthawks barely hang on to edge out Mighty Drunks
The Nighthawks played a very good first period, and then collapsed in the second half allowing the Mighty Drunks back in the game because of fatigue and a lack of focus. It's never easy getting five past O.Caillet in one period alone, but somehow the Nighthawks created enough good scoring chances to solve the net minder. Even though the second period didn't set off any alarm bells, the same couldn't be said for the third where the Mighty Drunks made a serious push to crawl back into the game. M.Beaudry, after scoring his clubs first two goals, helped set up two more teammates by the third. The Nighthawks had gone dry for well over 23 minutes before getting a key marker-from M.Destounis. His game winning tally came with the help of B.Deslauriers, who had a monster game collecting four points that included two goals.
(4)Bramabulls vs SBS Trashers(1)
M.Testolina gets the attention of everyone
Whether it's his own teammates, the opposition or the officials, M.Testolina got heavily noticed on Thursday night. The highly skilled forward participated in the Bramabulls first three goals that included two markers while adding a little mustard to his game by visiting the penalty box three times before calling it quits. Despite taking a 1-0 lead early on, the SBS Trashers couldn't contain the constant pressure of the Bramabulls. Mauro Mignogna helped set up the winner by B.Sansotta while adding his second helper on J.Palmitano's third period marker to close off the night.
(2)Chaos vs Les Rouuuges(6)
F.Bchara sparks Les Rouuuges with four-point outing against Chaos
During Les Rouuuges 6-2 win on Thursday night, F.Bchara felt pretty good about his overall play. The rugged winger did it all from-scoring twice while playing the set up man to earn an impressive four points. Les Rouuuges slowly but surely got better as the game went on.Their strongest period occurred in the final 15 minutes where they bagged three goals including two with the special teams. A.Guillaume made the score 5-2 on the power play right before J.Hassan put a nail to it with a shorthanded goal.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Matthew Testolina of the Bramabulls. Simply unstoppable, the Bramabulls spark plug buzzed all game collecting three points en route to a 4-1 win over the SBS Trashers.
