(5)Mighty Drunks vs Knights (7)

Costly penalty dooms Mighty Drunks in second period barrage

A second period penalty proved to be a costly one for the Mighty Drunks. An unfortunate high sticking five minute major saw the Knights take advantage with three power play goals. A.Jalilvand was definitely on his game scoring three times in the second period alone as part of a six point performance. The Mighty Drunks will look back at this for a while knowing that they had a 3-0 lead after the first period. V.Mancini was sharp in the loss collecting five total points that included a hat trick.

(6)Bramabulls vs Left Wings(5)

M.Maggiore seals back and forth action on late tally

It took nearly the entire game but M.Maggiore was finally able to close it out with just over a minute remaining. The Bramabulls kept seeing their slight leads evaporate. However, they never once trailed forcing the Left Wings to fight hard and even the score on five occasions. T.Karasek had a multi goal game in the win as did D.Provost for the Left Wings. When considering how many players can score-from the two line ups, it came to no one's surprise that this was going to end in a barn burner. Unfortunately for the Left Wings, they just couldn't try playing with the lead at no point during the match.

(6)Fat Roy vs Horsemen (5) O.T

Fat Roy storm back to win in overtime

Fat Roy came roaring in the final frame to tie the game, and rode momentum into overtime where N.Gikas was able to complete a hard fought comeback. The Horsemen couldn't have asked for a better two periods of hockey. Five different players scored, and M.Vinciguerra helped maintain the lead making enough key saves. With games having some to many turning points, the Horsemen will look back at one in particular. Rather than widening the gap on a third period power play chance, it was J.Pantelis of Fat Roy that scored instead. That shorthanded tally proved to have enough of an effect on where the direction of this contest was headed. Time was winding down into its final moments when M.DelGaudio scored to even the game. Then, barely 20 seconds into overtime, N.Gikas stamped it leaving the Horsemen in complete disbelief.

(3)UD Redz vs Scorpions (0)

M.St-Laurent, UD Redz blank Scorpions

M.St-Laurent knew he had plenty of help in front of him and was more than willing to credit his teammates. Everybody did an excellent job in front of the net minder enabling St-Laurent to earn an 18 save shutout. Up until the early stages of the third period, the Scorpions had more than enough time to try and tie the game at one goal apiece. Unfortunately, they fell behind 2-0 and were never able to recover. The UD Redz got their goals-from A.Sayed ,D.Mansour and N.Zahabi.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Austin Jalilvand of the Knights. The Knights forward had an incredible night scoring four times while adding two helpers to help lead his team over the Mighty Drunks.

(5)Carnage vs Buckshots(4)

Sharp shooter S.Mussachio crushes Buckshots with 5 goals

Tonight's game was clearly a case on how one player can make the entire difference. S.Mussachio was by far the best player out there posting all five goals in close 5-4 win over the Buckshots. Maybe the Buckshots should have paid a little more attention to the sniper, who seemed to get his way almost every time he touched the ball.  Even after the Buckshots managed to tie the game 3-3 in the third period, S.Mussachio wasted no time regaining the lead for Carnage. Actually, he did it one better by adding his fifth only a minute later after the go ahead goal. The Buckshots relied on four different players taking care of the offense that included three points-from P.Legatos.
