M-A Desrosiers monster night lifts Mighty Drunks over Knights

Not only did M-A Desrosier collect a hat trick in the first period, but he was also able to seal it with the game's lone shootout marker. For how crazy the game ended it looked as if the Knights had it wrapped up in regulation time when A.Fonrose scored late in the game for a 6-5 lead. But with the Knights taking an untimely penalty, the door was still opened for a wild finish. P.Paikopoulos came through riffling a huge power play goal and the Mighty Drunks gave themselves a shot at taking the match. Surprisingly enough for how the game went, neither side was able to cap it off in a five minute overtime with plenty of space. By this point, it seemed only fitting that M-A Desrosiers's hot hand would pull the Mighty Drunks through. Desrosiers was the only player out of the six attempts to score in the breakaways. The Knights saw their three tries get denied each time by O.Caillet.

(2)Carnage vs Bramabulls(8)

Balanced scoring fuels Bramabulls in season debut

Backed by a balanced offense, the Bramabulls couldn't have asked for a better start to their season. The pace was dictated early on that saw a power play goal trigger a couple more before the frame ended. S.Liparota opened the scoring with the man advantage and was the only player to score twice during the game. Carnage got their lone tallies- from S.Accaro and J.Bourlakos as the only two players to get the better of G.Follano. Even though it wasn't the ideal start for Carnage, F.Pace won't be too concerned knowing it's still very early into the season.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to M-A Desrosiers of the Mighty Drunks. After collecting a first period hat trick, M-A Desrosiers capped off a stellar performance by netting the lone shootout winner.
