Quebec Captures Gold in Eastern Regional B , C & Women WOMENS EASTERN REGIONAL CHAMPIONS Les Coyotes de la Lanaudiere.
A sweet fake along with a sweet touch led to a sweet smile for Sophie Lachapelle and les Coyotes de la Lanaudiere as she finally solved goaltender Nathalie Plourde of the Vanier Wild with a brilliant move. After playing to a scoreless two periods the Vanier Wild were awarded a great opportunity to end the match in overtime with a four minute power play but it was les Coyotes de la Lanaudiere instead who capitalised. Despite having to go into overtime, Les Coyotes showed great consistency all tournament long with an impressive 4-0 record in the preliminary round before winning it versus a tough opponent. The bronze medal game featured the St.John Thundercats vs the Vanier Sonics and just like the gold medal game this match was also decided with one goal.Colleen.McQuaid was the one who came up big with an early marker putting her team up 1-0 which held up as the final score. As much as that goal was important, the St.John Thundercats did an excellent job the rest of the way shutting out the Vanier Sonics in large part due to their net-minder Laura Campbell who was excellent stopping everything in her direction.

B EASTERN REGIONAL CHAMPIONS Montreal United. It was all or nothing for the B regional champions. Prior to the tournament the Mtl United expected nothing less than to win it all. They showed great conviction early on cruising through the round robin stages with an impressive + 12 goals differential in only four games. While cruising through the semi finals vs the St.John Most Wanted in what was a one sided affair the Mtl United knew that they had a strong challenge ahead of them. The Capitals have been around for the longest of time and with a countless amount of championships in their ball hockey careers this was a perfect match for a great final. What sometimes separates a team from the other is how they dominate certain aspects of the game. The Mtl United showed why they were a top tier opponent by getting excellent goaltending from Christian.Lantin who was the buzz of the tournament, dangerous offence with so many weapons and the ability to defend while killing penalties. That’s exactly what they did against a dangerous power play team in the Capitals who failed to capitalise with so many opportunities.
Gold medal Montreal United
Silver medal Montreal Capitals
Bronze medal Saint John Most Wanted
Bronze medal Halifax Toothy Moose
With five awards given in as many categories both these clubs shared all of them.

Top goalie : Christian.Lantin Mtl United
