Knights take it in shootout after late equaliser

F.Bchara sent the game into overtime with less than two minutes remaining before the Knights beat the Horsemen with three straight shootout goals. Bchara was part of the three shootout markers that included H.Merone and P.Santullo finding the back of the net as well. The Knights had the better start building a 2-0 lead thanks to the clicking trio of P.Santullo, H.Merone and R.Morne. For nearly two full periods, the Horsemen weren't able to crack the barrier. P.Carone did finally strike late in the second period and the Horsemen carried the momentum adding two more by the third where all of a sudden they found themselves leading for the first time. T.Zermalias led the comeback effort accumulating three points. The only unfortunate part after a dominating stretch for the Horsemen was that they couldn't hold off long enough to seal it in regulation.

(10)Left Wings vs Fat Cats(10) S.O

9 goals in regulation time somehow not enough for a win

The Left Wings and Fat Cats both decided not to play defence on Wednesday night, and despite scoring nine times each, neither side walked away with the win. The Fat Cats appeared to be fine after one period surging to a 5-3 lead but that all changed as of the second period where the Left Wings completely took over. G.Gaitanis scored once in every frame while adding his second assist on S.Longo's third period goal for a 9-7 lead. The way the game was trending for the Fat Cats, the light was very bleak at the end of the tunnel. But with a late goal-from J.Scalia followed with a power play marker by G.Bampos, the game turned into a stalemate. Still, both sides had the chance to regulate it in overtime with a player less on the court. And when considering how many goals went in during the game, it was almost a given that this contest would have avoided a shootout. Somehow, that didn't happen and both sides were stuck settling for a draw trading one goal each in the breakaways.

(9)Bramabulls vs Carnage(3)

Second period explosion lifts Bramabulls past Carnage

For a season opener, the Bramabulls demonstrated that scoring goals won't be an issue. Most of their damage occurred by the second frame where they struck five times to pull away from-Carnage. A.Mirolla had a major hand in sparking the offence setting up his clubs first three tallies while adding a pair. It's one thing to have some key pieces, and another to rotate three solid lines. The Bramabulls won't lack any depth and will be hard to beat if they stick to their identity. Despite the loss, P.Stroubakis did what he could bagging two goals while T.Ruvo was involved in all three markers.

K.Fiore nods a pair at the right time for Fat Roy

Fat Roy was able to breathe a little easier when K.Fiore came through riffling two goals in only a minute and a half. The Buckshots trailed 5-4 in the third period before finding themselves out of striking distance. A.Kakivelis paved the way for a solid game when netting two goals in the first period alone for Fat Roy. Throughout most of the match, the Buckshots kept pressing to keep the game close. N.Erimos opened and closed the scoring for the Buckshots while M.Destounis and M.Thakoa collected two points each.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Kris Fiore of Fat Roy. In a close third period battle with the Buckshots, K.Fiore was able to put the game away striking twice in a very short period of time.
