United Armenians over powered by GK onslaught

After a slow start, goals eventually came fast and furious for the GK on Monday night. The GK like to use their speed with and without the ball often forcing opponents to make mistakes. Leading the charge offensively was P.DiGiacomo, who buried his hat trick by the end of the second period. K.Gamache chipped in as well notching a pair. The United Armenians didn't help their cause visiting the penalty box on numerous occasions.  During that time, the GK capitalised twice with the man advantage. The win helps improve the GK to a 6-1 record while the United Armenians are stuck with only three points in eight games.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Phil DiGiacomo of the GK. By the time the second period ended, DiGiacomo had already put three away to earn a hat trick.

Capitals beat GK Lite to cap crazy roller coaster ride

It was a crazy contest, crammed full of offence and momentum swings bristled with plenty of intensity. But the Capitals refused to keel over saving their best for last versus a skilled hockey team. M.Boucher bagged the winner, and V.Bisson scored twice in what was a roller coaster ride of a hockey game. Neither side ever had a goal advantage after two periods. Apart-from the empty net goal, the Capitals barely won the final frame when M.Boucher snapped a very late tie. Both teams showed plenty of purpose moving their feet all game long while creating many chances. It wasn't the best nights for the net minders, but that was to be expected for how solid both teams are offensively. Despite the loss, P.Genereux was an absolute thorn riffling a hat trick while setting up P-M Chenier.

(4)Quebec Masters vs River Rats(5)

River Rats hang on after late surge

The score may suggest a very close contest but that's only because the Quebec Masters used three very late goals to pull within one. Prior to that, this game was dominated by the River Rats. H.Merone tallied a pair and D.Blais along with M.Dettore each scored in the third period for what looked like a substantial lead. However, the ending of this contest put a little fear to the River Rats, who felt relieved that there wasn't enough time for the Quebec Masters to equalise. J.D'Amico's leadership proves again to be contagious as the captain bagged two out of his clubs four goals. Unfortunately for the Quebec Masters, they couldn't get there in time. The River Rats played well overall dictating much of the pace while doing it with only eight players dressed.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Martin Boucher of the Capitals. His teammates couldn't be prouder for their veteran defenseman that knows the game well. At a crucial time in need of a goal, M.Boucher came through snapping a late 5-5 tie.

Thursday April 4

(1)Bengals HC vs Punishers (8)

C.Gingras nets 3, Punishers cruise for easy win

There didn't appear much that the Bengals HC could have done to slow down the Punishers on Thursday night. In every aspect of the game, the Punishers took it to their opponent. C.Gingras led the way with a hat trick while K.Kakivelis notched a pair. The Bengals HC saw their single bright moment occur when V.Singh got the better of A.Bitsakis. It's a result that the HC Bengals will need to simply forget about and only focus at what's ahead.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Carl Gingras of the Punishers. In what was a lopsided affair, C.Gingras tallied the most for a hat trick and an assist.
