A pair of quick starts favours Unknown versus Excalibur
Les Unknown rode a pair of quick starts and never looked back. By coming out on fire and dominating most of the early action, the Excalibur were stuck going up against a sound defensive side .A.Henein scored twice in the opening game while A.Farha duplicated his teammates efforts in the ensuing match. Y.St-Georges collected two points out of his clubs three goals. In both games, Les Unknown needed only eight minutes to build a 3-0 lead. After that, they shut the door for most of the way resulting in six clean points to the standings.

Missed opportunity for Fatal Demons go empty handed
While the first game wasn't worth talking about, the Fatal Demons will be looking back at a missed opportunity in the second match after a crushing defeat. The game was deadlocked 1-1 after one period, and the Fatal Demons blew a 5 vs 3 power play chance only to give up a shorthanded goal instead. J.Parisella pounced on a loose ball to put Venom in front. There wasn't much time afterwards for Venom to kill off the few seconds remaining on both penalties. Then, only moments later, J.Vinet took over the match adding his second goal and third point in an empty net. Prior to this contest, A.Daher, J.Parisella and N.Gilbert did most of the damage netting two goals apiece.

Charles-Thomas Perrault puts on an offensive clinic for the 1 Timer
The tempo for C.T Perrault was set right out of the gate. Perrault and his line mates were buzzing, pinning the Golden Boys in their own end which lasted for long stretches in the two games. When it was all said and done, C-T Perrault led all players posting back to back hat tricks in what was an exceptional eight point performance. In addition to his onslaught, P-A Surprenant also netted a hat trick in the first game while T.Daigneault chipped in with a pair. Daigneault wasn't done yet adding two more goals and a pair of helpers in the second match. The Golden Boys did have a good jump to their night winning the first period 3-2. Then, it all fell apart as the 1 Timer took over on seven unanswered goals. Much of that momentum carried over in the second contest where F.Koch allowed only one goal en route to a 6-1 win.

Lack of scoring keeps Degenerates in basement
With a bottom of the division, low scoring track record, the Degenerates will need to find solutions quickly on if they plan to visit the post season. It's not like they aren't generating chances. The problem is that they don't have the finishing touch to try and squeak out some victories. The case was made in both their losses to the Dragons where they couldn't capitalise on several occasions. However, the same couldn't be said for the Dragons, who have two threats to their line up. E.Girouard showed it in the first game by riffling a pair while S.Robineault followed up in the second encounter with the same performance. Both players combined for eight points which is something normal for the dynamic duo. After giving up three goals in the opening contest, P.Assadi faced 15 shots in the second match to record a shutout.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Charles-Thomas Perrault of the 1 Timer. There was no question that the 1 Timer's D-man was feeling it on this night. After netting a hat trick in the first game, Perrault wasn't done yet collecting a second straight hat trick as part of an eight point performance.
