(0)Black Knights vs River Rats (3)
P-O Girouard shuts the door, Lastoria sores 2 as River Rats Blank Knights
Led by M.Lastoria's two goals and a potent supporting cast, the River Rats played a perfect game against their rival. The River Rats did an excellent job stopping the Black Knights juggernaut in its track. Perhaps a major reason for it was the play of P-O Girouard, who was solid keeping his cage protected throughout the entire time. By getting both their goals-from M.Lastoria in the first period, the River Rats played to their strengths tightening up defensively forcing the Black Knights to open up and take chances. As the game continued to progress the Black Knights frustrations kept increasing unable to get at least one by Girouard. It's not often that they'll go without a goal but that's all attributed to how well the River Rats played on this night.
(4)Punishers vs All Blacks (2)
Punishers third lead finally sticks in double up win over All Blacks
The Punishers showed that they know how to respond in order to edge out the All Blacks. After taking their third lead of the night, they finally got it right by shutting the door the rest of the way. Granted, it isn't the easiest thing to keep C.Ghilarducci from-making an impact as the talented d-man responded twice with an equaliser for the All Blacks. It was only shortly after Ghilarducci's second goal that P.Nahkle regained the lead for the Punishers, who never looked back closing out the third and final frame. During that time, N.Mackeen beared most of the responsibility and lived up to it by denying every shot his way. A.Stamiris would eventually cap of a hard fought battle on a very late marker. As it's been their theme so far this season, the Punishers like to rely on everyone pulling their, and tonight was another example of it as four different players took turns finding the back of the net.

(6)GK vs River Rats(4)
GK Primed for what's ahead
T.Lord scored twice, S.Hrivnak was credited the winner and the GK came out on top of a 6-4 slugfest with the River Rats. Both sides felt like opening g it up which isn't the wisest thing to do versus a team like the GK. The River Rats felt they had nothing to lose and decided to go for it without key pieces to their line up. And to their credit, they hung in there for a very long time. Four different players scored in the loss that saw M.Detorre set up Marco Diaco and J.Morina. The GK entered this contest on a deep roster purposely in preparation to next week's National tournament where they'll aim for only one thing in mind.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to P-O Girouard of the River Rats. The River Rats net minder helped deliver a message that he won't often be beat, especially against a rival opponent.
