(2)Punishers vs GK(5)
Punishers collapse in third as GK score 4 unanswered to win
On Tuesday, a meltdown by the Punishers in the final frame turned a one goal lead into a 5-2 loss to the hands of GK. This was a game that the GK struggled to find traction-from the start not able to produce until the latter stages of the match. All it took was a small five minutes for the GK to burst the game wide open. T.Pham was a big reason why his club prevailed in the end. After setting up J.Bradley to even the score, T.Pham added a pair of goals including the winner to cap off a remarkable late push. Both sides didn't have their full roster which made the playing field even. It came in a losing cause, but T.Bozinakis and C.Gingras did more than their share collecting two points each.
(6)Black Knights vs GK(5)
One extra period catches up to the GK in double header night
For two straight frames, the GK were in fine shape building a 4-2 lead. But when a team just comes off a hard felt match moment's ago, it's safe to say that fatigue tends to kick in. The Black Knights knew this and made sure to keep a full out pace in order to run down their opponent. The eventual comeback began with the help of Y.Tifu's power play goal. Clearly, that sparked his club to follow up and they did on a pair of quick tallies-from C.St-Hilaire and J.Velenosi. The GK looked like they needed a break badly in the third playing like they didn't have much left in the tank. Still, they weren't out of it and needed only one tally to even the score. T.Pham did provide it on his second of the match. Unfortunately for the GK, one play late in the game put the Black Knights back in front thanks to Y.Tifu's second of the frame. J.Desmarais scored twice,J-F Di Iorio collected four points for the Black Knights while for a second straight game, T.Pham was stellar accumulating three more points.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Thanh Pham of GK. In back to back games, T.Pham was an absolute force bagging a total of four goals as part of a six point night.
