(5)Legends sv Fitforce Phoenix (4)

Legends advance on E.Mavroudis late game winner

Power forward E.Mavroudis, with a touch and quick move past the opposing net minder, buried his shot with just over 30 seconds left on the clock to help advance the Legends through to the next round. It was not an easy win however as the Fitforce Phoenix fought back-from a two goal deficit to level. Despite man handling them in the regular season, the Legends knew they were in tough with so much on the line. They could have made life easier if M.St-Laurent wasn't so good in net for the Fit Force Phoenix. A.Zarzour made the score 4-2 after posting a hat trick. From-there, the Legends had a chance to pull away but were stifled missing some glorious chances. Eventually, H.Awada notched his second right before N.Atoui tied it by the six minute mark of the third period. Both teams knew that the next goal would ultimately decide their fate. Luckily enough for the Legends, E.Mavroudis came through at the right time to extend his team's season.

(6)Winter Soldiers vs Toyota Candiac(3)

J.Mckenzie's epic 4 goal performance lifts Winter Soldiers past Toyota Candiac

J.Mckenzie had a feast on Thursday night and it wasn't on chicken tenders. Instead, it was the Toyota Candiac that endured his dramatic flare resulting in four goals. His outburst began late in the first period courtesy of a power play marker .Once he got started, the wheels were in motion and Mckenzie continued his tear adding another power play goal before capping off a productive night on an empty net tally. Naturally, the Winter Soldiers couldn't have been happier for their skilled teammate. To his help, J.Velenosi set up the sniper three straight times on primary assists. The Toyota Candiac dug themselves in a deep hole in the first portion of the match. After falling behind 3-0, they did manage to pick up their game but the damage had already been done.

(5)Legacy vs The Blast(2)

Legacy bag Blast in energetic intense battle

With more intensity and physicality compared to your average regular season game, both teams upped the ante on Thursday night.  Legacy came in playing to their identity, which is to elevate their game in these types of situations. A good start always helps and they got it thanks to a pair of goals-from T.Bozinakis and D.Bertrand. It looked as though they had a strangle hold for a while but that was until the Blast responded on a pair of quick tallies. By that point, the Blast looked to build off their momentum. Unfortunately, just like they fell behind by two goals earlier on, the same happened towards the end of the second period. S.Athanasopoulos and J.Rochon took only three minutes of each other to regain a two goal margin. On the possibility that the Blast had a little more in them to bounce back, Legacy didn't repeat the same mistake by prioritising a solid defensive game. F.Baratta knew what was at stake and made sure to give nothing thanks to a brilliant goaltending performance.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Jesse Mckenzie of the Winter Soldiers. The right handed sniper found his touch on Thursday night riffling four big goals that helped lead his team to the semi finals.

The C Thursday division is now down to only four teams. The semi final round match ups are as follows:

(1) Bramabulls vs Legacy (4) Even though the Bramabulls have the better regular season record, that won't matter as this series has all the elements of what ball hockey has to offer. Both teams will need to simplify their game by shooting the ball when they can while avoiding unforced errors. There is simply too much talent in all three areas of the field for the two sides that doesn't give one team more of an advantage.

(2)Winter Soldiers vs Legends (3) If there is one area that the Winter Soldiers have a huge advantage over the Legends, its their speed. The Legends know this and will need to buy into a system where they can try and contain the speed and ongoing pressure by the Winter Soldiers. They'll have no choice but to keep them on the outside while patiently wait for their chances. The good news is that they have C.Fortin guarding the pipes. The bad news however is that the Winter Soldiers have a few big guns up front that can hurt you.
