S.Archamabault snaps late tie, Bad Guys Inc get the job done vs Punishers

S.Archambault provided the game winning goal late in the second match, and the Bad Guys Inc were able to defeat the Punishers twice on Monday night. Both teams decided to open it up after the Bad Guys squeezed out an earlier 1-0 win. The Punishers battled to overcome a pair of deficits but never managed to play in front. All they needed was an 30 extra seconds to force a shootout, that was up until Archambault collected his third straight point for the Bad Guys Inc that put them in front for good. G.Barkley had his hands full but was definitely up for the challenge collecting a shutout while allowing only one even strength goal.

Excalibur answer the bell after thumping to Classics

Even though they took an earlier thumping to the Classics, and in large part to M.Destounis's four consecutive goals, the Excalibur managed to grind their way toward a much better effort in the second encounter. The Classics most likely didn't expect such a push back, especially how they man handled their opponent in what was an easy victory. It took all but 90 seconds and a committed effort-from the Excalibur to shift the tides in their favour. And after surging to a quick 3-0 lead, the Excalibur sent an early message that they weren't going to be pushed around. J.Azoulay scored twice while G.Lallis was very productive collecting three points.

Excalibur avoid going empty handed on their lone tally

J.Atch made a few early saves, and the Degenerates fed of it scoring six straight times to grab a good start to their night. Everything went right in that opening game for the Degenerates, who had the ball for long stretches while getting balanced scoring from-their forwards and defence. The win felt convincing enough that the second match was to be expected for a positive result as well, especially with the Excalibur playing their fourth game of the night. However, that wasn't the case as both sides went the whole distance before settling for a draw. The Excalibur trailed 1-0 before G.Varrichionne took advantage of a rebound that finally beat J.Atch.

James Tutino fitting right in for the Nature Boys

Just when the Prolific Athletes thought they had seized control surging back with three straight goals -from a 4-0 deficit, one bad sequence had them chasing again. They really felt momentum was finally on their side after dropping the earlier match 3-1. Unfortunately, a tough break later in the second encounter kept them behind the eight ball with time running out. Perhaps their biggest issue was the play of James Tutino, who was absolutely brilliant for the Nature Boys. The new addition wasted nobody’s time that he definitely fits in for the Nature Boys. Tutino had an incredible night collecting a total of five goals and an assist in both games.

Degenerates use maximum effort in split with Punishers

Excitement over took the Degenerates bench after defeating the highly favourite Punishers. It was clear-from the get go that the Degenerates wanted to prove that they can face the challenge and keep up with a superior opponent. The two games were extremely close with the first one favouring the Punishers towards the very late instances of the game when C.Gingras broke a 3-3 tie. The loss may have come as a heartbreaker, but the Degenerates felt they played well enough to duplicate their efforts. And that’s exactly what happened up until the ten minute mark after surging on four straight goals. Then, in the short span of 90 seconds, the Punishers flipped the switch and brought their opponent down to earth with a heavy response riding three consecutive goals. Both sides still had a period to go through before anything was decided. And even though the Degenerates let their momentum slip away, they still grinded out a solid period that saw both sides trade only one goal. That was just enough for them to edge out the Punishers thanks to A.Lanni’s winner, and C.Muccino’s brilliant performance between the pipes.
