Hockeyballe.com stun Dek Laval on two late goals
(3)Hockeyballe.com vs Dek Laval(1)
It may not have come perfect, but Hockeyballe.com found a way to win on Tuesday night versus the Dek Laval. Being up only 1-0 is like playing with fire if you try and ride out the clock. The Dek Laval did have their chances to widen the gap only to keep getting denied by J.Vrettis. All it took was one shot on net for this contest to be all tied up, and Hockeyballe.com knew they were inching closer with the amount of chances generated. That moment occurred half way through the third period when S.Athanasopoulos used a blistering slap shot to finally solve K.Haratonian. Up until that point, the net minder was perfect, and remained brilliant throughout the entire match. Then, the Dek Laval learned a valuable lesson which was not to put Hockeyballe.com on the power play late in the game. That one unfortunate holding call came to bite them in the end leaving all but 19 seconds on the clock for T.Bozinakis to strike with an incredible wrist shot. No doubt it came as an unfortunate set of events for a team that felt they deserved better. The Dek Laval will look back at some missed opportunities after H.Jerjian put them in front on the power play. Hockey is sometimes a game of inches, and this particular contest was a perfect example as it could have gone either way.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Tasso Bozinakis of Hockeyballe.com. With the game all tied up, T.Bozinakis was there to decide matters on a wicked wrist shot that had eyes.
